We were very impressed with Blaauw Cottage. It is beautiful and located close to everything. We just walked everywhere.
The house had all basic necessities. It is smaller than some holiday houses I stayed at, however it is dependant on your needs. The house catered for all our requirements. It is clean, well laid out and allows one to relax. For some like myself who haven't travelled to that part of Cape Town, perhaps an information chart on the where the major retail stores are location would be helpful. The local PnP stocks a substantial amount of goods, but may be limited in some respects.
Great for exploring town on foot and also the area by car. Would have liked to stay longer, but unfortunately was fully booked.
Beautifully appointed, from the bathroom amenities, glassware, every appliance you might need. Enough braai wood to last a summer. Highly recommended, very comfortable and worth every cent. We will be back!

Blaauw Cottage has everything you need for a peaceful and cozy time in Riebeek Kasteel. The location is perfect, the rooms are very comfortable and the kitchen is neat and stylish. The pool is a huge bonus! We will come back again.
This house is exceptionally beautiful and so well appointed. We were 4 adults. The braai and meeting place are spacious and rooms each offer their own private sleeping place and bathroom. We will definitely book here again and recommend it. Also safe for cars and quiet environment. Within walking distance of nice places to eat.

Our only feedback, is that the food prep knives were no longer sharp and the beds were unfortunately not comfortable - the timber bed bases rock and the mattresses need replacing. Otherwise very satisfied and appreciated how kind and prompt Klaus was with all his communication. Much appreciated.
We absolutely loved our stay at Blaauw Cottage! It's a perfect gem in a wonderful little town. The cottage was very neat with everything one can possibly need, comfortable bed, good quality bedding and towels, etc. Klaus was the perfect host and always available to assist with any questions and recommendations of what to do in the area. We just loved spending time in the beautiful backyard, perfect splash pool, comfortable sunbeds and a lovely braai area with wood provided. We just loved all the birdlife in the garden, it was so peaceful and the perfect place to just relax the whole day! I would highly recommend this place and we will most definitely return again!
Neat, modern house and loft. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. House and loft have air conditioning and fans. Geyser has enough hot water for our five persons. Very private and secure. Small pool is lovely. Klaus' service is unsurpassed and lightning fast, nothing is too much trouble for him. Great barbecue place. We will definitely stay there again. Can highly recommend it.

Gasheer Klaus was briljant. Ons het hom skaars gesien, maar die 2 kere wat ons hom wel gesien het, het hy ons so welkom laat voel. Sal beslis gou weer Blaauw besoek. Die huis is perfek.
Blaauw is a wonderful spot for to stay with the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms being separated by the spacious open-plan living area. It rained heavily while we were there which was a complete joy as the Western Cape is so desperate for rain, so we lit the fire and listened to the rain on the roof while feeling all warm and toasty inside. We loved it, thank you so much.
We really enjoyed our stay at Blaauw. The place is well equipped and nicely laid out. It's a walking distance to the center of town.
What an amazing place, so cosy and very modern! The fully furnished kitchen was a great, along with the privacy of the property and cleanliness of the rooms. we didn't want to leave. the host was very friendly and welcoming, easy to get in touch with and always ready to help, a weekend felt to short to enjoy the house and the town.
My husband and I stayed in this lovely place for 2 days. It was exactly what we needed. If you want to get away from everything and "recharge", this is the perfect place. We received a warm and friendly welcome from Klaus and he made sure that everything was in order for our time there. The place is well furnished with everything you need. All you have to do is kick off your shoes and relax. For the warm days and evenings there is an air conditioner and roof fans and for the winter there is a fireplace inside and a built-in braai outside on the stoep. We will definitely come back again.

Blaauw Cottage was a fabulous, comfortable, convenient base to stay at to visit the winelands, olive farms and sites of the beautiful Swartland in the Western Cape. We had everything we needed at the cottage and the village of Riebeek Kasteel is truly a delightful place to wander around with plenty of restaurants and interesting shops and galleries - all just a 10 minute walk from the cottage.

The cottage is brilliantly layed out and conveniently equipped with a super clean, lovely swimming pool to cool off in. Don't forget your bathing costume. It is conveniently situated within walking distance of the super market and the best restaurants.
Blaauw Cottage is perfect and I cannot fault anything. Attention to detail, practical, luxurious and clean. We will definitely book again.
I would have liked to have known when booking that both rooms had double beds in them. Would have liked to have 2 single beds in the one room instead. I can't complain about anything. The linen is of good quality and there is plenty of crockery.
