Very nice, tasteful unit. Had a wonderful sleep and stayed on the most beautiful farm. For those of us who have to self-catering due to food allergies, we would have liked better cooking facilities. An excellent hostess and communicated throughout.

We had a fantastic stay. It is a very nice and tidy apartment and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the towns and cities as we drove down for a holiday by the sea. Although we hit the road again early in the morning and therefore didn't want to check out late, it might be nice to check out later than 09:15 if we first wanted to go for a walk and have breakfast on the farm.

After a long line, this guest farm was the proverbial oasis in the desert. Neat, clean and warm. Liesl welcomed us kindly and we felt as if we had known her for years. The facilities were more than adequate, the shower water hot and the WiFi was great. You actually want to stay a few more days because the surroundings take your breath away.

The warmth and hospitality of the Karoo embraces and welcomes you between the mountains and on the stay you experience the farm atmosphere and at night the greatness of the universe when you look at her starry splendor. A hostess who is familiar with farm life and also during the time of year with biting winds. Her advice to buy about 4 x bags of firewood in Graaff-Reinet was a lifeline when the freezing weather descended on us. Thanks also for a gas heater and the small electric heater for the girl's room. A day visit to New Bethesda, not too far from the accommodation, was very interesting and pleasant. It is a BIG farmhouse and everything needed is there to make a visit worthwhile in complete privacy. Only the availability of DStv KYKnet Channel 144 would have made the cold even more bearable and YES, as my wife puts it; "Without aircon, you can live in electric blankets for the winter". She sells her own bags of wood which will help if you run out of wood, but I suggest a free bag for a braai is provided with blitz and matches. There are also biscuits for sale if you haven't provided your own, and she sees to it that there is a starter milk and cold, clean drinking water in the fridge. Thank you very much for everything and the privilege of being able to spend the night for 2 nights, even though the winter weather tested our endurance.

We had a great time on the farm. It was dead quiet and peaceful and the owners are very friendly. The unit is beautiful and well equipped with a spacious bathroom. Small throttle for load shedding. The farm is located a little way from the main road, but the few extra kilometers are worth it.

We had a very nice stay. It was just an overnight stop for us but it was so nice and quiet on the farm. Everything was clean and tidy and the bath was a winner with a small baby. It gives you an edge to stay there because it's a few kilos out of Graaff-Reinet so that helped. We will turn there again.

This was the perfect overnight stop on our way from the Western Cape across to the Wild Coast. It was a cold winter night and we were super cosy in the garden cottage enjoying a wonderful restful night before hitting the road again the next day.

Tastefully equipped with everything one needs. For our overnight stay during a long rice ride, it was peaceful, picturesque between the mountains and interesting to get a closer look at a successful sheep farm. It's our second visit and we will do it again!

"Beautiful farm but just too far from Graaf-Reinet."

It's an absolutely beautiful place but we didn't realize it was located about 50 km before Graaff-Reinet so arrived there with no food to cook and eat because we thought we'd just "soon-soon" " going to town to buy things. It was then a big swing, 40 min. drive to GR and 40 minutes back. There is a stretch of dirt road that felt very long, especially with children and a small baby. The unit itself was beautiful, but because the owners weren't there we didn't know where to go and had to find people to help us. The workers brought us firewood, but there was no Blitz to light the fire. It was also very cold - which we were not prepared for!

Particularly beautiful, old-fashioned house with interesting history. Can't imagine that no one lived there for 80 years before it was restored. The combination of modern bathrooms with the ancient architectural style works very well. House is excellently equipped with everything, including a washing machine and dishwasher. We had a very nice time and I could easily stay here for more than one night.

This restored Karoo farmhouse with its yellowwood floors and ceilings is five-star accommodation. The house is neat, very neat and clean. The decor is exquisite and tasteful with crisp white linen. An electric blanket and hot water bags for the cold evenings are a nice treat. The house has everything you need. You won't go wrong booking here.
