17 guests' feedbackMagic spot, lovely accommodation and close to Bot River, Hemel en Arde wineries and Greyton. We will definitely be back.
Well equipped and beautiful nature.
The only aspect that may sound a bit negative is the condition of the road in certain places. The location (constant, lovely cool mountain breeze), beautiful view over area up to Caledon, comfortable house with everything in great working order, pond with lovely cool, clean water and the wood heated Jacuzzi were winners. Silence and frogs' ears at night are exactly what city people are looking for - nice walking paths and a feeling of seclusion and freedom in nature. Conveniently close to Caledon and Hermanus through the beautiful Hemel-en-Arde road, one would want to go there. A pleasant experience that we will definitely do again with our other daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren.
The lodge was clean and tidy. They contacted us early to confirm arrival time and offered to light the bath and fireplace fire. Upon arrival, the lodge was nice and warm and the water almost at temperature.
Not having to waste time going through check-in/out was fantastic. The lodge was beautiful. It was spacious and had everything a person needs for a relaxing holiday. Being able to walk amongst the lovely fynbos was a privilege. Wallowing in the Kolkol heated plunge pool, sipping a wee libation and looking out over the veld into the distance can only be relaxing.
Lovely combination of mountain views, dam swimming and hot tub relaxing! Off the beaten track and perfect for a relaxing time away from the rush of life! Close enough to Hermanus + Caledon for day trips.
Rustic and off the grid stay. Good for the soul.
We went away on a silent retreat, 6 friends. To be in nature, hiking, swimming, hot tubbing, resting, journaling, praying. It was the perfect place to reconnect with ourselves and with God. Very beautiful and natural and peaceful.
Wonderful location, excellently equipped, nicely decorated, a lovely place to visit, walk and rest.
Loved the fact that the lodge is lovely and secluded. A good place to wind down.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breathtaking views, privacy, and endless beauty are at your disposal. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
We were blessed with the stunning weather, the location is breathtaking and the wood-fired hot tub proved extremely popular!
The view is indescribable, the place is very tidy and excellently equipped with everything you could need. Perfect place to rest and renew with family or friends.
Peaceful with a beautiful view over the dam which was also lovely to swim in. Stunning natural beauty and quiet. Good place to recharge your batteries.
The perfect destination. Had a fantastic time swimming in the dam, relaxing in jacuzzi and enjoying the great views from stoep and braai area.
All we think would make it more convenient is that there should also be an indoor braai. Especially when the winds are so bad and also in winter.
It's a wonderful getaway, peaceful and cosy. Highly recommended for someone looking for a quiet getaway. Clean and neat.
