The Villa is suited to accommodate 6 guests and comes equipped with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All 3 bedrooms feature a king-size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds upon request and en-suite bathrooms in each room. Bathroom 1 and 2 is fitted with a shower and bathroom 3 is fitted with a bath and shower.
The main living area features an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from the kitchen is a 6-seater dining table as well as a lounge with comfortable seating and a fireplace. Access to Wi-Fi is available.
Outside, there is a covered patio with outdoor seating, braai facilities as well as a wood-burning hot tub. On-site facilities include secure parking and guests are welcome to enjoy the on-site activities which include fishing, cycling, swimming, bird watching, and mountain biking. Nearby activities include horse riding, wine tasting, and guided walks.

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting with our adult children and their partners. The accommodation is very comfortable with everything you need. The hosts are super-friendly and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. Will definitely go back.
This is some of the best accommodation I have ever experienced. If you feel like getting out of the city and just being in nature, this is definitely the place to stay. It is very close to the Hemel-en-Arde Valley should you want to visit a wine farm. The pictures don't do the house justice, it's incredibly beautiful, clean and it feels like home. Everything in the house is top quality. The Kolkol "hottub" is delicious. Black Eagle Lodge gets an 11/10 and WOW WOW WOW from me. Will go back for sure.
We loved our stay at The Villa. A beautiful spot in the countryside with surrounding mountains and grazing sheep. A great place to recoup, relax and reconnect.
Wonderful location, fantastic place to stay, well equipped and organised. We would highly recommend it and be sure to go back. The hot tub was a huge hit among all.

On arrival we were directed to the wrong unit. We just started unpacking and then had to pack up again. It was poor communication. The Villa house was very clean and tidy but the dining facilities were not clean. The braai grill had food left over from the last braai. I brought it to their attention and they very quickly arranged for a new grill, but then we saw that there was food stuck to the knives and forks and we then had to wash all the cutlery. For the cost of the place, there should be more attention to detail and we don't expect knives and forks to be dirty. There is clearly no oversight of the cleaning process. Never saw the owner this weekend either.

I would recommend anybody to visit Black Eagle Lodges, it is beautiful place to stay. It is so peaceful. The house itself is tastefully furnished and everything for your comfort is provided. It is great that there is no TV, as we had a great time playing games and connecting as friends. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay very much. It is a great place to stay if you just want to get away from it all!
