We enjoyed the canoeing.
The service was poor, but the location is good.
If you want a quiet and peaceful holiday or a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then Blackwaters is the place to go!
Lots of fun activities for the whole family. Our children thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the canoes, golf, swimming. Close enough to Buffalo Bay to go to sea soon.
The people are friendly and service is good. Lots to do on the premises and beautiful area. Very relaxing.
By the river, green lawns, beautiful mountains and trees. Staff and especially Elmay willing to go the so-called extra mile. Luxury rooms with views of the garden, river and mountains!
The rooms were full of cobwebs and lots of bugs, for sure long granted and reception said on arrival there was no room service (which I originally paid for and was impressed with) although they came to spray poison day 2 when we were done. It was uncomfortable because we were crawling with all the bugs. I would recommend that they clean rooms thoroughly and put fresh linen before guests arrive and service it daily, but the staff is very nice.
Noisy, was not an aha moment. We looked forward to tranquility. Breakfast cold and disappointing. Some maintenance in room needed. Our room was next to a service room and public toilet so was very noisy.
We slept 3 nights and it was a feast. The place is clean, the service is great, the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the dinners were nice and homely.
As said above, everything was tops at Blackwaters River Lodge. I would like to mention to the management that the unit I stayed in, number 3's shower water supply should be looked at. The water is either boiling hot or ice cold. But it was really the only con. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the lodge and rooms clinically clean.
Soothing for the soul and hospitality to the finest detail. The owners go out of their way to make their guests feel special. So neat.
Service was great. We were treated with respect throughout. Meals are well prepared and tasty. Rooms are very well appointed. Bathrooms were always neat.
Incredible attention to detail with the goal of extreme customer service. The gifts, personal attention and kindness are unbeatable. Fantastic 5-star accommodation with an incredible atmosphere.
We stayed as a family and with friends for one night. The little things like the sherry in the room, welcome letter on the bed and goodbye gift were wonderful. The location is beautiful. The decor of our house was particularly beautiful. It was definitely worth the money. I will definitely stay there again. My only complaint is that the food in the restaurant, especially the pizzas need some attention.
A little place close to heaven.
Prime address, beautiful units, neatly furnished on the edge of the golf course. Restaurant is recommended. The ladies wash your clothes for free. The service is very good.
Tranquility cannot leave us out. Clean air and breathtaking view. There was plenty to do if you stayed at the room. Cleanliness outstanding. Rooms large and very neat. Would recommend anytime.
