24 guests' feedbackWe had such an amazing time at Blesberg. We went for hikes, spent some time with the animals and went canoeing in the dam. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The boys had a blast fishing. They want to come back when the dam is fuller. They also loved the zip line. If I can suggest more lights outside as it was difficult to braai in the dark.
We had a great time in the Ivy cottage! The location is breathtaking, and there's always something to do on the farm. All staff are friendly and very helpful. We took our large dog along, and everyone treated him like family. We will be back soon!
The Blesberg Farm Cottages is a lovely, cute cottage that has everything one needs. We were very excited about the fresh farm milk that was provided to us. Our kids loved the paddle boats on the dam. We could have easily stayed longer but unfortunately had to leave due to school starting soon. However, we will be back for sure!
Loved our stay. We will definitely be back. Good location, off the beaten track.
Definitely value for money and look forward to a winter visit.
If you need to break away from the city this is the place there are not much to do but you rest atleast.
Amazing to experience the farm life. Children climbed into bed exhausted every night. So not everyone's taste, because it is a down to earth farm cottage with only the essentials. There are flies and the wonderful smell of a farm, but if you see past that, it's a gem of a place. The little pond with boats was a great plus.
In no way did I expect it to be as beautiful as what we experienced at Blesberg Farm Cottages! We will definitely go there again and try the other hiking trails. The 1.9 km route is fairytale beautiful and a blue diver ewe also surprised us when she jumped out of the bushes and ran past us!
Welcome farm air and tranquility away from city noise.
We really enjoyed our stay, can't really complain about anything. The dam is great, the farm animals around the cottages are lovely for the younger kids. It was a pity that we couldn't go to the dairy, but it is understandable from a safety point of view. We had a great stay.
Very good sleep and nice viewpoints. If I can make a suggestion, maybe there is only a mirror with a small table for the women who want to put on make-up and light by the signposts for people who arrive in the evenings, but otherwise there are no complaints.
Very nice visit, very nice, 1 or 2 small things that bother like not a shower in a cozy cottage.
Close to all popular places in the area for site seeing.
The view is beautiful, the pond, farm animals, clean air and all the activities there were a feast!
The farm and views are breathtaking. Nice pond, hiking trails and farm animals. You can have a delicious braai on the stoepie and enjoy the view. Grass green Natal hills at their best! The cottage and decor is very old fashioned and not very clean. No communication or service. But the beauty of nature makes it worth it.
Wrong house was cleaned on arrival. Cleaner had to go get key and then quickly swept. Bed in main room is rock hard. There are no doors in front of rooms, only curtains. Living room set's cushions are 1 bank rock hard and the other 1 damn soft. Didn't sleep or sit comfortably at all.
1st they don't tell you you are driving through an informal settlement. You can no longer drive the road from the farm gate with an ordinary small car. the photos on your website about what the road and house look like are fake, the cottage we lived in was cleaned a few weeks ago. I would not recommend it to anyone. Surely you have to check the places every 3 months because your name is linked to such places. The person on the whatsapp number cannot talk to people at all, he is disabled. Luckily I took my own drying cloth because that one was very dirty. I'm not even talking about the 2 plate stove.
The cottage is beautiful and the children (10 & 8) enjoyed the ponies right next to us as well as the goats nearby. The dam view is so beautiful as well as the view early in the morning with sunrise from the porch. The delicious farm milk in the fridge was a big surprise! The hearth was delicious in the evening. can definitely recommend the place!
Ideal for a quiet, relaxing, intimate getaway to just recalibrate. The farm life is refreshing, the fresh farm milk in the fridge was amazing, the views are breathtaking, the hiking trails are brilliantly laid out and the pond is so beautiful. We had fun rowing and a really good time overall.
We are a large family and always want to celebrate Christmas together. It is always difficult to find self-catering accommodation which is big enough to accommodate all of us. We were blessed to find Blesberg at the last minute. We booked the Manor House and 1 cottage. The main manor house is a gorgeous and huge home, beautifully decorated and spacious. Everyone in the family was blown away as the pictures didn't do it any justice. We had a great stay, though it was raining. We managed to stay warm with enough firewood supplied for the fireplaces and heaters in the bedrooms. I would definitely like to come back and hopefully, the weather is nice and warm so that we can enjoy the outdoors more. I will recommend this to my friends and anyone who wishes to stay here. The hosts were also very nice and accommodating to our requests prior and during the stay. We had a beautiful Christmas holiday and would definitely return should the opportunity arise!
Clean rooms as indicated on the pictures with friendly hosts.
We did not receive any check-in information from the host. After arriving at the gate, we realised we do not have the code and had to drive back until we had a cellphone signal and then struggled to get hold of the host. After solving the problem, we had a lovely stay with all the heifers, ponies, and goats all around the cottage.
