Lovely stay there. The hospitality of the host and hostess, Pauline and Hennie, was excellent. Everything was neat and clean.
Great place for such a small town. The workers say it was great.
We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The host even offered us free firewood for braaing. I can really recommend this place to stay in Fraserburg.
Owners went out of their way to provide dinner in a town where shops and cafes do not open on Sundays.
Unfortunately the aircon and TV did not work. The bedding is not suitable for the cold weather conditions. Also no heater or additional blanket/hot water bag available. The 2nd bedroom had basically no bedding (aircon didn't work either) so we couldn't have used the room.
Arrived at Blou Windpomp where I booked the Springbok room. I gave advance notice that my wife and I were coming through for our wedding anniversary. Ie want privacy. The host then told me it was too impersonal for us to be in the back in the Springbok room and checked us into the Steenbok room which is literally on the sidewalk, which we didn't want. I also couldn't grill as I had planned because there was only a push grill that only takes charcoal. All she told me then is that she feels so bad now. My wife and I asked for our money back and then had to settle for another place at short notice. I would not recommend the Blue Windmill at all.
Reception by was friendly, but the place smelled terribly of smoke, could not stand it for another night. Had to find another place in Fraserburgh at short notice.

Very comfortable unit with everything available and at hand, clean and comfortable with good provision for load shedding. Thank you very much, it was a good, friendly reception.
Owners are very helpful and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
We were very comfortable. The tranquility - one could rest well.
Lovely hot shower. Cottage well equipped for overnight travellers.
They are wonderful people and make you feel so welcome and at home.
We had a great time at Hennie and Pauline's (and the goats!). Hennie also showed us the town.
We got there late and Hennie helped us very nicely. We had the nicest place to stay. There was even a washing machine and dishwasher. Sufficiently light with loadshedding. We went for a nice drink in Hennie's WP Bar. I will visit there again.
It was a very cold weekend in Fraserburg, so the electric blankets were a winner. The bathroom was spacious and the water hot, however we would recommend that they replace the washing machine with a tumble dryer, you don't just wash during a short holiday and especially not during a weekend away, the wet towels are always ' a problem in winter. The kitchen with braai corner is very small, would be better in the summer if one could use the outdoor braai and also the outdoor tables. The porch and garden are beautifully maintained and a treat for the eyes.
