The little places are very cutely furnished, everything you need. Jaco and his mother made us feel very much at home and went out of their way to meet all our needs. Would recommend to anyone to stay there.
Friendly service. Everything you need, even a teapot! Rondavel was beautifully clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend it.
Thank you very much for a pleasant stay over Easter weekend. We will definitely go and relax there again. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and tree-lined.
The cottages are set in lush surroundings and the owners give the feeling of a family home.

Very pleasant and comfortable experience. Everything went smoothly. Customer service was good and we were treated extremely well while the owners were away and could not keep an eye on events. The staff behaved very well. My only pain was breakfast and the rush of it in the morning when we want to leave. The breakfast was slow and we could have been warned earlier. Our orders could only be taken the night before.

Full of mosquitoes, towels not changed daily. The cleaning was only done 1 day. I feel I wasted or was robbed for the price that I paid. Owner is very welcoming and professional. Will never book there again. Cleanliness very bad. Towels not changed on a daily basis. Pool was dirty. No light at the pool area. Will never book or recommend any of my friends there.
Even though the accommodation was perfect it was not very nice because of the loud music throughout the night next door, every night. It was so frustrating, expecially since my husband took part in the Vets Tour Cycle Race at Swadinie and got very little rest. The 2nd night I asked the owner to call the neighbours but he said there was nothing he could do about it.
I think that R600 without breakfast for accommodation which is very basic with lights not working and leaking gas is not great and bunk bedding for two single ladies is not ideal.

A beautiful location, a beautiful house in a beautiful garden, with very sweet owners. We were very well received and slept wonderfully and ate deliciously. And in the meantime, the country has learned a lot more. As far as we are concerned, Blue Cottages is highly recommended!
The peaceful farm atmosphere with lovely, cool shade trees and green lawns was welcome for a city soul. We will come again.
There was no DStv and we were not informed of this in advance. The bathroom was completely separate from the room, which was not nice.
It is a good place to relax.
Blue Cottages are clean and tidy. Everything was there to accommodate your overnight stay, but the bed's mattress is thin, the wiring is old-fashioned and the linen looks old.
Owners must first sleep on the mattresses themselves before making them available.
We would not recommend it. They keep records of phone conversations if requests are made, but they lied to us over the phone. Our rondavel is separate from the bathroom. We requested to have everything in one rondavel before we decided to choose the place, as well as dinner. On the phone, they asked if there was a place to eat or a restaurant as we were driving far and did not bring any food with us. We were assured that there is. Upon our arrival, the owner closed the restaurant. Furthermore, there were old faded towels on the bed. The room has minimum amenities. There were also spiders and cobwebs up in the roof and above the bed.
The Blue Cottages are a lovely tranquil place to stay. The hospitality of the owners was first class, and I would have loved to have stayed longer. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the gardens are lovely.
I had a great time. The breakfast was "awesome", thank you very much.
A very homely and farm style atmosphere, very central to all the attractions in and around Hoedspruit. We found the cottages to be clean and more than adequate for a weekend stop-over.

The owners went out of their way to keep customers satisfied.
This is not a new place: a rondavel that was right 30 years ago. The garden and staying on an estate was an experience for me. Value for money but the place needs paint and some attention. A special dinner! Breakfast was something special.
I will definitely recommend the Blue Cottage to my friends. I myself will visit there again in the future. I suggest that a security guard patrol the roundabouts and vehicle parking throughout the night from 18:00 to 07:00, just to make guests aware that their safety is being proactively looked after.
We were used to the neat chalet at Shingwedzi and would have liked to end our holiday on a high note, but were unfortunately disappointed.
