Woodpecker @ Blue Crane Farm Lodge can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has a free-standing bath. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and makes use of a bathroom with a shower, a basin, and a toilet. A shower and toilet are also available outside. Crisp linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is open-plan to the lounge and is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The dining area has seating space for 4 people, while the lounge has a comfy lounge suite, an indoor braai, and a pizza oven. Fresh bread and farm milk are provided every morning. On arrival tea, coffee, butter, rusks, and 6 eggs are provided.
The living area opens onto a lovely patio with outdoor furniture and boasts a wood-fired hot tub and braai facilities, overlooking the beautiful view of the valley.
Although tucked away between the mountains, Blue Crane Farm Lodge is surrounded by numerous attractions. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, whale watching, and exploring a variety of wine farms in the area.

17 guests' feedbackAbsolutely beautiful. Loved the little touches (milk and farm bread) delivered every morning. So enjoyed making our own wood-fired pizzas inside. Supplied more than enough wood. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. Will definitely be back. Loved the hot tub. Only pity the weather was so cold, but that has nothing negative to do with this lovely place.
We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary there, my husband was obsessed with the place. Everything was great from the pizza oven, indoor grill, outdoor grill, hot tub, enough dry wood for all the grill events and hot tub stove, the electronic blankets on beds. And the best is that fresh farm milk and bread every morning at 7:00 in the special mailbox door, love it. They also provided 6 eggs and farm butter. As well as coffee, tea and biscuits. Oh no, I'll be staying there again tomorrow, our best anniversary in 29 years. Tops.
Romantic and peaceful!
They were really pleased with the freshly baked bread and milk in the morning. The only thing was that the jacuzzi was not the bubble one but rather a hot tub.
Will definitely go back again. Nice environment. Restful. A nice escape from the busy life.
What an amazing and beautiful place that is set in a mountain pass. . What's to love? Privacy. spacious cabins set apart where we all enjoy the views without infringement of space. Wood-fired hot tub. Sunrise and moonrise over the hills. Outdoor braai. indoor fireplace and pizza oven. Fresh bread (still warm) and milk delivery every morning. No TV and Wifi. We truly needed a break to stop. pause. reconnect as a family and just enjoy the stillness life can offer. I kid you not, my two children did not miss the TV. We spent so much time in the hot tub. from 7 am dips to 8 pm dips. If you go on a weekend stop at the Elgin railway market. Hermanus is a stone's throw away and a must-visit if you have kids is the Cornelskop Animal Farm.

Beautiful view! Very tidy and everything you need is there. Nicest place to rest, peaceful environment. Pizza oven and Jacuzzi an absolute winner. Delicious freshly baked bread and fresh milk every morning was a nice treat. Enough wood, what more could one want.

Suggestion: Roof fans or aircon for the two rooms due to the house that gets stuffy inside in the summer time. Suggestion: The ants were overwhelming the kitchen the first morning and even in the beds through the night, maybe put out ant traps on a regular basis to help with that.
We really had a awesome stay beautiful place has good quality furniture and a touch of wild life feels like you miles away from town.
Totally worth it! Plenty of wood, 2 braai, pizza oven, Jacuzzi with a nice view, even freshly baked bread and milk every morning! What more could one want?
