Blue Door is suitable for 2 adults and is the ideal accommodation for nature lovers. Spend a quiet, relaxing holiday enjoying the sound and smell of the sea. From the comfort of your bed, watch the dolphins surfing the waves or the whales blowing puffs of water into the air.
There is 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed and ceiling fan.
The open plan lounge/kitchen has a fully fitted kitchenette with fridge, 2 plate stove/oven, microwave and other home comforts.
A flat screen TV with the Easy View program is provided. Free WiFi is available.
The modern en-suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower. We have borehole water, so we are not reliant on municipal water.
Smoking is not allowed in the unit.
The apartment is fully armed with an alarm and has its own entrance.
A lock-up garage is included.
The private, furnished sun deck has stairs down to the braai facility, shared pool and garden.
Take a stroll through the sub tropical garden and within 50 meters you will be on a beautiful, quiet beach or fishing from the rocks.

We had a pleasant stay at Blue Door. Everything was clean and neat and is exactly as per the pictures. The easy access to the beach is wonderful. We will definitely visit again.

Hazel and Adrian, thank you very much for your hospitality. Our 10 day break at Blue Door was amazing. Very conveniently close to the beaches and places to eat. Blue Door is very neat and clean and is equipped with all the necessary facilities. Hazel and Adrian went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were always there for advice and help. Incredible sea views from bedroom and veranda. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Incredibly beautiful garden with braai facilities and use of swimming pool. Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

The apartment has all facilities ideal for a couple or a family of 3. Remember own towels, which is normal for self catering, but other than that everything was as expected. The beach is 50m away and then the swimming beaches of Ramsgate/Southbroom are also within easy walking distance. Will definitely recommend.

Great accommodation. All that is missing is a pedestal/stool/footrest in the shower as well as free WIFI. I would consider the above to be standard issue, included in the price, given the "upmarket feel" of the accommodation.

Lovely people running the place. It is a short walk to the beach which was such a treat. Hazel has a miniatures museum there and it is a must-see. Well situated to get to The Waffle House, Ramsgate and Southbroom beaches and other places of interest.

A compact guest unit, very well furnished with almost all facilities, beautifully clean and tidy, two delightful stoepies for sitting and reading or eating and looking at the sea. Great host and hostess who quietly advises and helps where needed, you won't find better. Accommodation is within easy walking distance of the sea with its long walking route and swimming spots. A swimming pool and beautiful garden round off all the amenities. Best value for money on the coast!
Hazel and Adrian are fantastic host and hostess, go out of their way to help, privacy is respected, you don't even know about them. Accommodation is breathtaking and creates a phantasmagorical view and experience, I will definitely go back there in the future, plenty of places to eat, several beaches to go to, definitely worth a five star award.
Hazel and Adrian are very accommodating people. We felt like we met some long lost family. They made our stay worth the while. Beautiful surroundings and just a block from the beach.
Blue Door welcomed us kindly and made us feel at home. The facilities are well located, close to the sea's walking routes and shops. All the necessary facilities are available to make food and sleep pleasant. The host and wife work well together as a team to make you feel at home and comfortable.
Blue Door is one street away from the beach, between Ramsgate South Beach and the Ramsgate Ski Boat Club. The Ramsgate Meander follows the beach and we had a lovely walk without encountering many people. The owners, Adrian and Hazel, offer accommodation that is unpretentious and they allow you to go your own way without being intrusive.

A welcome friendly reception by Hazel and Adrienne, the hostess and host. Unit clean and tidy and looks like in the photos. The garden tropical, swimming pool clean and braai facilities sufficient for 2 people. Environment nice and beautiful to walk around in, as well as on the beach which is literally just outside the garden wall. Would recommend for 2 people looking for all the amenities as mentioned. Will visit again for sure.

Lovely warm reception by owners who knows how to respect ones privacy. The shower was awesome and made each shower a spa-like experience. Fridge a bit small. A definite highlight was when Hazel shared her exquisite miniature display with us, beautiful memories and moments captured in the most creative and imaginative way. What a talent. A must see!
I would gladly recommend Blue Door Self-Catering to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation in and out of season. Blue Door is literally just 2 or 3 houses from a private beach that is mostly just used by residents of the area. Hazel and her husband are such lovely people who really have their guests' best interests at heart. We would definitely make use of Blue Door again.

This is the ideal place if you want to rest, very nice garden. Hazel and Adrian are very hospitable. You lie peacefully on your bed and look out over the sea, a nice walking distance from the beach. Cats are very loving, the ideal place for two people very well equipped, everything you need is there, and security very good.
We really enjoyed it, there was something to do every day no matter what the weather conditions were. Nicely central and the most beautiful, cleanest beaches.

We had a really nice stay. Hazel is very helpful. Just note that this is a one person apartment and has a bar fridge/freezer, which is a problem for longer stays.

Beautiful sea view with the sound of the waves and lovely garden. The beach just a short walk away. Enjoyed the pool and the braai in the garden. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. The hosts were helpful but not intrusive. We had a lovey restful visit amd look foward to another visit in the near future.

Stunning garden with beautiful views!! We got to see the dolphins playing in the surf from our patio. Private & peaceful, everything you need is provided for. Excellent walking distance along the beaches to many blue flag swimming beaches, as well as pubs & restaurants. Having your own secure lock up garage for your vehicle was an added advantage & made us feel at ease. Will definitely visit Blue door again.
