Yoliswa was an excellent hostess, and our breakfasts every morning were superb. Folk Restaurant 100 metres down the road in the Old Post Office on St James Station was very convenient for lunch or dinner.
We really enjoyed our stay.
I appreciated the South African art works and the creativity of the layout. The breakfast was fantastic and the view of the sea made the stay even better!
We enjoyed our time tremendously. Very homely and quiet place. I notified in my booking that we prefer halaal food. They still asked if we wanted bacon for breakfast. The lady said she was not aware of it. Accept that we enjoyed our time.
We were alone in the house and really enjoyed the serenity of the house. The bay window with the view of the ocean was my heaven! It would have been nice to have a coffee and tea station in the room as I had to make my coffee in the kitchen and walked upstairs with the mug of coffee. I had to be so careful not to spill on the antique wooden stairs.

Comfortable bed. Struggled a bit with the shower hot water as the taps were not marked. Pleasant breakfast. Friendly welcome by the host. Beautiful view of the sea.
Just no wi-fi. doesn't work We had to buy data. Loadshedding affects the wifi.
Host was super welcoming. Room was super comfy and cute and the view was fabulous. Accommodation also in such great location. Would definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay. One small suggestion would be to perhaps put a small kettle and coffee or tea in each room, instead of having the station in the kitchen.

The breakfast was delicious and a lot of food. Everything is very neatly unpacked. The lady who made the breakfast was very friendly and very helpful. We would definitely highly recommend the guest house.
We had a great stay at Blue on Blue. Great views of false bay as promised! The location is perfect. The room was clean and the bed in the Master suite is comfortable. We only had an issue checking in as we could not get hold of the host. One starts to get worried because we only got to check in after 9 and being on the road for 8 hours you just want to crash. Later on we were told that the land line was faulty. Perhaps an alternate mobile number should be supplied.
On arrival there was linen in plastic bags in the lobby, and still there when we left. Can it just be packed away with very little effort? Yoliswa is friendly, but language is a problem. Her English is very poor.
Not a place for elderly people, too much stuff on walls not for everyone. Beds pathetic. Access terrible. Will not book there again.

Blue on Blue is a charming house with a delightful housekeeper. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. Easy walk to the restaurants in Kalk Bay. My only caution would be for anyone who is not agile with steep paths (outside the property) or stairs (to the bedrooms).
The location is great, walking distance to Kalk Bay and a few restaurants. The place itself is well equipped and we had a very nice stay. The staff were also very helpful which only made the stay more enjoyable.
Ideal location above St James. Quiet with beautiful views over False Bay.
We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the breakfast each morning.
