We slept over on the way back from East London. It was wonderful to be able to sleep at a guest house where we could park our caravan safely. They even offered to help with unhooking and pushing if needed.

Some cleanliness items need attention. Housekeeping needs some guidance & management. WiFi was poor & signal was patchy.

We slept over back to Pretoria. The bed was very comfortable and everything was tidy. The breakfast was very nice, especially the plate with muesli, yogurt and fruit. The hot breakfast was freshly made and we were ready for the rest of our trip.

We were a little skeptical at first because it felt so deep and far away, but I/we were pleasantly surprised with the good reception, nice rooms and yes the breakfast was top notch with a very friendly and pleasant hostess - all this justifies a visit again and the place is highly recommended.

Very clean, tidy. Wheelchair accessible, large room with space to move around. Usually we have to move furniture so that my husband can move with his wheelchair and here it was not necessary. Bathroom is accessible and wheelchair able to enter shower. Breakfast was off the books and staff friendly and very helpful. Will stay there again for sure.

It was the most enjoyable to arrive at the guest house and you walk into a little piece of heaven on earth. Amanda was helpful and friendly and our rooms were off the books. Beds slept great and the breakfast was one big treat. We will definitely visit here again.
We had a very nice stay. The room was particularly spacious and tastefully and comfortably furnished. We really appreciated that it wasn't overstuffed with all kinds of goodies like many other guesthouses' rooms. After a long day's driving we didn't feel like going out for dinner, but thanks to the small kitchen and a table and chairs we could heat our own food and enjoy it. Good blackout blinds and curtains together with a quality mattress and bed linen ensured a good night's rest. There is also a nice sitting area outside the room next to the pool to enjoy good weather. The breakfast was of very good quality.
The room is beautiful and we were especially surprised by the delicious packed breakfast that was in the fridge. This after I mentioned we won't have breakfast the next morning because we want to drive early!
Blue Rain is a lovely guest house and offers good value for a weary traveller. Everything is neat and stylish, and there are two restaurants within 1km for a quick dinner. I would just like to see a better coffee option than instant coffee in the rooms.

The beds were comfortable and the place was tidy. Unfortunately did not have enough sugar bags for all 4 guests. Breakfast was great but many would suggest that they might ask who wants coffee, juice or both instead. bring all 2 and have to throw away. Same with the breakfast. Will definitely stop there again.

Slept with a business colleague. It is close to everything, rooms are spacious, clean and neat. It's close to everything.
On the website I used the link to overnight accommodation where our dog, Kabar, a pointer, would be accepted. We just needed a nice bed on the way back to Johannesburg and would be on the road again early in the day. My attention, however, was drawn by the simple, neat decor of the place. What a surprise awaited us! Early in the morning I woke up with an awareness of space around me - lots of it - and the sound of fields, of fresh air, but mostly the feeling of weather being absolutely safe! During breakfast we had a wonderful time with our host and wife while we could look far! Kabar could easily go out at night and sneak through the large garden! Thank you so much Blue Rain, it was a very positive experience!

Amanda helped us with the road directions and she was always there with any help and assistance to make our stay comfortable. The singers Dozi, Refentse and their band stayed at Blue Rain during their performance at the Vryfees and cannot stop talking about the wonderful time they had at Blue Rain. André Venter and his team left no stone unturned to make sure everything went well. André went out of his way to satisfy all fads and goats. Will definitely stay at Blue Rain Guesthouse again!

We only stayed one night. We booked the standard room and we were pleasantly surprises when we were upgraded to a luxury room with a view, at no extra cost. The guest house has a tranquil atmosphere, is decorated beautifully and has good security and safe undercover parking. We would like to stay here again in future!

The room was wonderfully heated, spacious and very tidy with the warm blanket already on to warm the queen-size bed on the cold day. The bathroom is a treat for the eyes and the body. The breakfast and hospitality are of outstanding quality. Do yourself a favor and go experience Blue Rain Guesthouse.
We had a great barbecue and slept in the midst of 37 degree heat. The boys also enjoyed swimming to cool off. We will definitely use them again when we have to stay in Bloemfontein.
I really enjoyed my stay with Blue Rain Guesthouse. The welcome was warm and our room was spotless. We stayed very nice and warm and were spoiled with a huge breakfast. Although Blue Rain is located a bit out of town, we were still not far from town at all. There is also a shopping center around the corner which is very convenient. The only thing that could be improved is to make spoons available in the room. It would also be nice if information regarding the WiFi and gymnasium were passed on when checking in. Otherwise we had a very nice stay.
Our visit to Blue Rain Guesthouse was all we needed for an overnight stay between Johannesburg and the Eastern Cape! The whole set-up is very neat, but the rooms are especially very modern and comfortable and have everything you could need. The guest house is 5 to 10 minutes away from all the nice places to eat. The breakfast at Blue Rain Guesthouse was also particularly delicious! Excellent value for money!
The accommodation was easy to find and is located close to Woodland hills shopping centre. The accommodation was also clean and the breakfast was delicious. The premises in general are very safe. I will definitely stay in Blue Rain Guesthouse again.
Upmarket guesthouses in Bloemfontein exceed by far any of the four or five star hotels which are usually frequented by noisy officials partying throughout the night! Many of these guesthouses are also within easy travelling distance to the N1 for travellers who resume their journey to Gauteng the following day. Bloemfontein is an ideal stopover for people who travel from Southern Cape to Gauteng.
