Get 50% off on stays that are 30 nights or longer. This special is always valid.
The home, an original whaler’s cottage built in the 1920s, is owned by Cape Town creatives, architect Michele Sandilands and industrial designer Roelf Mulder, and has been cleverly renovated to maximise its gorgeous location.
The villa boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first and second bedrooms each contain a king-size bed. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds. There is also 2 child-only mattresses and a cot available for 2 additional children and an infant. Each bathroom contains a shower-over-bath, a toilet, and a washbasin.
The kitchen is well kitted out with a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, and cutlery and crockery, and you can braai in front of the house, at the back, or up on the deck. A meal around the kitchen table takes on another dimension with the expanding doors opened to capacity, inviting nature in. But the view really comes into its own from the large garden and deck above the house, which is the perfect place to relax, read or rev it up with friends. And early morning coffee on the front porch is one of the best ways to start the day. There is also a braai area for use by the guests.
Tastefully decorated, the house perfectly displays the owners’ artistic aesthetic, and several original artworks, including oils by Cha Davenport of the rock pools in front of the house and Roxy Kaczmarek lithographs, and objects add to the lovely, welcoming ambience. Staying here is like experiencing a slice of paradise.
