The place was neat and clean. Everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again!
From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The location is perfect, we were close enough for a walk to find good coffee early in the morning and also for the teenagers to walk freely between the shops. During our three night stay we didn't need the car once. The kitchen was well equipped and the space the house offers was appreciated. Someone could have a Zoom meeting in the dining room, while someone watches TV and someone else sits on the front porch reading. We come again!
The location is superb, close enough to all the eateries and pubs to walk, safe and homely. Never needed or missed anything in the place or kitchen, fully stocked, and had great amenities.
The cottage exceeded our expectations. it's very well equipped with everything you need. We highly recommend the cottage.
Our getaway at the cottage was exactly what we were looking for in cold Dullstroom. The house was tidy, the fireplace was large, and the electric blankets were the perfect bonus on one of the coldest weekends in town. The house's space surprised us and we would have used the living area more if it had been warmer.

This is the second time here. Was never disappointed. No need to use your car at all. Can walk to everything. House is big, comfortable and very beautiful.
This was my second stay at Bluebell Cottage. A nice advantage is that it is within walking distance of all shops in Dullstroom. For load shedding, there was a light and gas stove provided - please ensure that there is a gas canister or inform guests to bring their own.
Bluebell is very well located to be able to just walk where you want to be. Nice spacious house. The fireplace in the house is very cozy and so is the braai area. The boma area is also cozy. Everything is nice and clean, kitchen has everything you need and more! Very well appointed with a gas stove and oven that works well. Master bedroom's shower takes the hot water for a very long time before it gets hot, but it comes, just wait patiently. It's just a waste of water to me, but it's an old house so that's understandable. We had a great stay, it was a lovely weekend.
Beautiful place with so much character. The bed sleeps wonderfully and the full DStv makes a big difference when you feel like doing nothing.

Our wood for the fireplace was wet so we couldn't get the fire going, and we had a lot of trouble frying eggs in the pan that was provided, it burned badly.

Was absolutely thrilled that I had settled on Bluebell Cottage. It is so beautifully decorated, I just wanted to transport it back to JHB and live in it. Definitely a great place to stay while you spend a few days exploring Dullstroom.
This house is particularly beautiful with old-fashioned farm charm that will take your breath away, but also make you immediately feel at home. It offers privacy with different outdoor and indoor spaces for relaxation and is very clean and tidy and well maintained. Conveniently close to everything. One simply wants to leave the city and move there.
Feel free to do so. Nice spacious cottage, walking distance to all shops. Children had a great time in the garden.

Very neat and clean place. Has everything you need. The location is also ideal, not too close to the busy part of Dullstroom, and still walking distance from the nearest shops and eateries.
The house is very spacious and ideal for a family of five. Comfortable living area with built-in braai and a kitchen with everything you need. Groups can also rent the other houses and hang out together on one plot. Location means you are within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Please note the Bluebell Barn only has one bathroom with a bath, and no shower.

We enjoyed the place and will go home there again. Everything you need for a weekend stay is available. Not a complaint but a suggestion that maybe they should think about replacing the kitchen sink as well as making a plan with the shower being open. Everything gets and stays very wet.
It was just what we needed.
We had a very nice weekend. The house was very well furnished and nicely located. We really enjoyed the braai area outside and fireplace inside. There are so many heaters and electric blankets that not a soul will get cold. The service was also great.
There are 3 houses on the premises - Barn, Cottage and Country house. We stayed in the Country House. It's only one block from the main street - close enough to walk, yet far enough for silence from the main street traffic. It's a quirky house - very large with wooden floors in some parts, but only 2 bedrooms. The living room, sunroom and kitchen are very large, and include a Speed Queen washer and tumble dryer. Everything is very neat inside the house. One just has to be aware that the bathroom is a long walk through the living room and across a hallway from the master bedroom. It can be uncomfortable in the middle of the night. There is also no shower. The bath is large and the water supply is strong with good hot water. We were just wondering about the large, old-fashioned TV cabinet with a small flat screen TV that seems lost in the cabinet. The front door has a strong security gate, but there is nothing on the back door except the usual door lock. The biggest thing that bothered was the carport. It's a long way to the kitchen door if you want to go down and pack, and then another way to the bedrooms. It's also okay, but the roof's floor is dirt. If it rains, then everything is full of mud. You step it into your car, and into the house. The gutter directly above the little gate from the carport to the kitchen doesn't have a downspout, and you can't miss the waterfall as you walk to your car. Then again, if it doesn't rain, everything is fine. As mentioned, als is very neat and cared for inside the house. Outside, one gets a feeling of uncleanliness and that attention is needed to the buildings and garden. Still, the overall experience was good. The porch with 2 sofas and soft cushions was a winner. We would go again as it is one of the more affordable places in Dullstroom and offers reasonable value for money.

We stayed in the Barn, it was adequate for two people, very clean and neat and quiet. I will definitely recommend staying there if you want walking access to the town of Dullstroom.
The break was much needed after Covid containment. The cottage is perfectly located and close to the main street. Everything was neat and clean.

It was a lovely place, spacious and well equipped. Within walking distance of the main street and all the Dullstroom things to do and see.

The accommodation is outstanding. Very neat and good price. One thing is that the shower is open-plan which is very cold in winter. Put a door in and you won't get a better place in Dullstroom.
The unit in well equipped, located in a nice garden. The host is very kind and passionate about Bluebell. Fantastic outdoor braai room with a large fireplace inside. Will visit the place again.
The place was clean and tidy, but smelled badly of smoke. Impossible to sleep because there are no curtains in the dining room, as well as a very light curtain in the bedroom, which allows outside lights to shine brightly in the bedroom. Only one used toilet roll was made available, while very little firewood was provided.
