We have seven guest rooms and can accommodate up to 15 guests. Five of our rooms are located on the upper level and open out onto the upper balcony, and two of our rooms are on the lower level and open out onto the lower balcony. Each room is individually decorated and has a gorgeous ocean, lake and mountain view. Each room has its own bathroom and can accommodate 2 guests, the Cape Blue room can accommodate 3.
On-site facilities include the Muizenberg beach that is a 5-minute walk from the guesthouse. There are several mountain walks and hikes that start just above the house.

The hostess was welcoming and accommodating. There are many stairs that one has to walk up because the property is set so high up on the mountains but well worth it. Comfortable rooms and the hostess is there to assist with any queries. Breakfast and complimentary coffee which is a plus factor.
It was very nice and I really enjoyed the view. Good service and fair rate.

Bluebottle Guesthouse is really up in the mountain and the only path leading to it is a path of about 126 steps. The guest house is beautiful, the views take your breath away, the reception was friendly and the breakfast delicious. However, this accommodation is not suitable for someone who has difficulty walking and cannot climb stairs (many stairs!). You stop your vehicle at the bottom of the street. It is not in sight to keep an eye on your vehicle, but the neighborhood watch took good care of our property (vehicle and buggy). We didn't see a chance to carry all our heavy luggage up stairs, so we just "traveled" light to the top. For sure a precious, unique experience that we will never forget.

We loved celebrating our anniversary at the Bluebottle Guesthouse. What a stunning location with beautiful views of Sandvlei and False Bay from our room. We were spoilt with a personal touch on arrival by our lovely host. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and have very comfortable king-size beds. The breakfast was delicious. And the 131 "arty" steps to get to the guest house made it so very special. Thank you.

The guest house has a nice view of the sea. Not recommended at all for 2 Oceans Ultra marathon. Nor for old people or people with babies.
Accommodation worked well for us, communication with hostess was not easy, otherwise we had a nice stay.

The stairs were lovely - didn't mind the climb - best part of our stay. The views from parts of the house are beautiful. Not from our room though - we look straight into another house. The breakfast was sufficient - which probably makes it good value for the price we paid. Although we got a discount. You hear everything from the next door room - people talking and every creak and stomping coming from upstairs - loud and very distracting. It almost sounds like someone could fall right through the ceiling boards. We played music to try to dull the sounds. The room is very tired - that brown carpet with the stains and burns needs to go. The place needs a good clean - e.g. the windows and the dust behind the furniture is really bad. I suggest the owner inspects behind the dresser. The dog kept coming into the room so we had to close the doors. The internet did not work at all from our room and there is no TV in the room either. I am thinking that guests staying on the upper levels could possibly have a totally different stay altogether.

The accommodation and service are of high quality and the owners friendly and helpful. The many stairs to the guest house can be dangerous, especially for older people. The lack of on-site parking is a problem and one is uneasy about parking one's vehicle in the street.
We had a nice stay - gorgeous and tidy. Even though we were warned about all the stairs in an email before we arrived we recommend that this should be added to the main description on the site. Since the cancellation terms are quite stritct this could have been 'n problem if we booked it for the family - some of them wouldn't have been able to climb the stairs. Otherwise very nice stay. Stayed at the Bluebottle Guesthouse for 3 nights, and had a great stay. We received great service from the owners and always had a clean room. Will definitely stay here again if travelling to Cape Town!
