It is a very nice place, it is clean and safe and by the beach.
Enjoyed our stay, only problem is water restrictions due to drought.
Neat, clean accommodation with everything you need for a nice stay. It was nice to work the week with a view of the waves breaking in the distance. Thank you Ben for all your effort with my grandchildren's get-togethers on the weekends. Sincerely appreciate it. Will definitely visit Bluewater Beach House again.
I recommend it to anyone who just wants to get away from the city noise and just experience tranquility. Ben was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent place. does need a good spring clean. espesially in the braairoom. Does need an Inverter to cope with loadshedding. No torches. Just 3 candles.

Water restriction in area, not notified in advance. Kitchen not well equipped. Bedroom and bathroom doors are shutter doors. Limit one's privacy.
The facilities were not as in photos. No sealed doors between you and other visitors so everyone hears everything. Broken equipment in room. Braai facilities were available with difficulty among other visitors who all shared.

Ben gave us a warm welcome Despite the lockdown regulations the room was very clean and comfortable. He offered us a bigger room than we booked at no extra cost. We also left a day earlier than our reservation, and he had no problem with that.
I don't want to criticize the place but there are 2 things that bother me, although their towels are very clean they are very old and the ones we had had holes in them and frayed along the edges. With the severe water shortage in Port Elizabeth, they should look at the hot water supply. It takes a long time for the hot water to reach the taps because the geyser is very far away from the rooms. A lot of water is wasted here.
Will stay there again. Very nice view and everything you need in the unit.
The place is beautiful. Just needs some TLC. The sofas are old and uncomfortable. Some of the power points are not working. It really needs upgrading. The stairs leading to the unit also need attention as one plank was broken. Other than that it was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend the place especially if they renovate it a bit.
The location was great. And the lady at reception was very welcoming and helpful.
Everything was pretty clean. Only criticism is that the containers for coffee and tea were empty.

Unit very small, space very limited. Wash 2 days without hot water in shower, no containers or hooks in shower for washcloths, soap and towels. Could also have more shelves in closet for clothes etc. No air conditioning or fan in unit. The unit was very neat and clean, can recommend it for single person.
Rooms not serviced, bathroom taps hard to open and close, shower needs upgrading.
It's not a room with a seaview! That's the name of the place and is misleading. What we liked: Place is neat. What we didn't like: No sea view except through the kitchen window. Entrance to the room is through a narrow corridor between garbage cans and water tanks. Every time someone turns on a faucet or flushes a toilet, a water pump comes on at one tank 3 meters from the door with a noise. The TV is by the door. Had to close door to muffle noise. No place in shower to put soap down. Toilet needs a service. Makes a hell of a noise when it flushes. Knives are broken. Lift is loose. Only three different glasses available. Braaikettle was very dirty, if you want photos, just ask. Would I go again? No. The website should evaluate places before advertising them.
Would not recommend the room for more than one night stay. Bed takes up entire room space and the space outside is cramped.
We stayed in the budget room. Would recommend the room to people who don't expect luxuries. This is what the name "budget room" says. Neat with the essential amenities. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff at Room with a View are friendly and very helpful.

Although I only stayed one night, at least it was value for money. Suggest that the WiFi code be printed and given to guests without asking.
Room with a View is a quiet place away from the city but close enough to a shopping center for the necessary shopping. Friendly and very good service.
Our place was not clean and tidy on arrival and was sorted out the next day. Some of the lights did not work. A toaster would be welcome. The stairs to the top are dangerous and some loose. Not suitable for older persons. Furthermore, it is very convenient.
We had to ask for extra blankets. Very small and limited parking, we had to ask to repair outside light. Water pressure very low, when one finished showering the water was cold. Must say Ben went out of his way to help us if we had a problem.
Dirty bedding, no coffee or sugar or milk for guests for the morning, when taking a shower the water leaks through a hole and wets the floor, mosquitoes were packed up and all of this for close to R800.

The accommodation was adequate, but the braai facilities and kitchen utensils as well as parking for the vehicles should definitely be looked at. Furthermore, the time we spent there was very nice.
Very nice clean and comfortable place for a break. Would just suggest that the sofa might need to be replaced as for a 6ft man the sofa is way too low. Otherwise very nice place.
We had the three bedroom apartment. Beautiful spacious rooms. Nice clean. I would suggest that you just please look at your bedding and mattresses. Bed linen, for example the duvet cover and duvet itself do not even fit on the bed at all. Totally too small for the size bed. Bed linen a bit old. Furthermore, we really enjoyed our stay there. You have a nice place, take a good look at it. Would recommend the place to stay.
Apart from a few light bulbs that didn't work and a very dirty oven everything else was ok.
Load shedding almost ruined it.
The room is very small. No toilet door. No soap holder. No toilet holder. No place to put towel in bathroom. No sign of reception.
We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that bothered us was the kitchen equipment. There needs to be glasses at least, not just one beer mug and a cheap Checkers glass that is scratched. And a pan to fry an egg for breakfast would be grand too.
Room was private and well equipped, with modern, high-quality bathroom. A pleasant stay. Excellent sea view, right on the beach. No traffic noise.

Car parked outside with open gate - not very reassuring.
Room with a view has an amazing location. That is the only good thing about it. The owner was away on holiday and left a friend in charge. The rooms were shabby and not very welcoming. Only the one bedroom had a TV. The TV in the main bedroom had no remote control and there was no access to DStv as was advertised. The second bedroom had a cracked mirror and the wooden support in the middle of the bed was broken. We were a family of 4. There were only 2 mugs and 1 drinking glass left for us to use. There was no kettle. We had to share the living room with the owner's dog and 5 newborn pups. There was a TV set and microwave that was not in working condition. The fridge was in a terrible condition and water leaked from the freezer section. There was absolutely no WiFi, which was also advertised. This establishment is definitely not a 3 star rating as advertised. I personally feel that this place should be stripped of the so called 3 star status. It is a waste of money. This was our first stop of our holiday. What a disappointment! Will never recommend this place to anyone.
I would not recommend the place at all if the manager vouches for the owner. She was severely disabled and the guest house is run like a hostel in that you have to check in and out and let them know what time you will be at the guest house in the evening. Breakfast and DStv are listed on the LekkeSlaap, but she said in so many words that she doesn't really make breakfast and it will work out cheaper for me if I make my own breakfast. (There are no restaurants/coffee shops in the area for breakfast, only takeaways) and between 4 guests they only offer DStv Dual View and expect the guests to see for themselves. Also, the bathtub was full of hair, there were no bins in the room for disposal and the place was not cleaned as indicated on the website. Privacy is also taboo seeing as the manager and the caretaker walk in as they see fit, whether you're still in your pjs or not.
Mieka went the extra mile in accommodating us after some car trouble. We can't wait for out return in 2014.
