The address, as advertised on the site, is not where we stayed at the time. We were in a separate house a few blocks away. Only found out after we did the booking. Ben and Shaun's personal service was very good and friendly. The unit inside was not that nice clean but otherwise basic but perfectly acceptable. The back yard is neglected, with a grass green swimming pool and the lapa looks like a building site. Still had everything we needed and we were comfortable.
Wrong house was rented out.
Enjoyed sleeping over it.
The management and staff went out of their way to meet our needs. The breakfast and dinner were of an outstanding quality.

We had a great stay and will definitely return for a next visit. The unit was clean and exactly what we needed. All that is a little lacking is a few things in the kitchen. For example, there is only one teaspoon and we were 4 people. Fortunately, at least not an insurmountable problem.
Unfortunately I stayed in the flat, away from the main house. Everything was clean and neat but incredibly basic. TV has to be switched off by hand and the channels don't work so well on the paraffin model. It's 500 m from the beach. I will definitely stay there again, but won't make use of the flat again. Staff are friendly and helpful. Sea view is wonderful!
Should provide guests with soap, tea and coffee - this is normal at self catering establishments. Shower door coming off sliding section - door catch broken. This gives the impression that quality of accommodation neglected.
Windows at Gecko 3 cannot close. The security door cannot close. Furthermore, the kitchen was not well equipped. The drying rack was very dirty. There was not even ice in the freezer and no ice container to make ice.
As everyone is aware of load shedding, one would think that a good establishment like Bluewater will be prepared to welcome their guests in an appropriate matter. Unfortunately for us this was not the case. On arrival we were told that there is no electricity, after a long drive we had to wait a while to sort out full payment, although we had paid 50%. Eventually we were taken to our apartment after driving from cottage to cottage. We could not have a hot shower or even a refreshing beverage. Our plans was to relax the night and prepare dinner at the apartment. This was impossible, we had to eat out Friday and Saturday night. I paid for a four sleeper, my two sons did not stay with us due to this. We had to purchase a blow up bed and bedding, in order for my elder son to be able to accommodate them in his bachelor flat. Due to all these uncalled for expenses we went over our budget. On arrival I discussed with the lady about staying a day longer. I just could not wait to get out of there. We left at 04:00 Monday morning.
