Very basic. Good for overnight. Hostess very nice.
During power outages there is no water supply which makes it quite difficult to plan your ablution. Did later draw water from a tank in the garden into a bucket, but was not informed if it was clean. The breakfast also had to be canceled due to no power. The load shedding is indeed beyond everyone's control, but we were on a fairly tight schedule and had to quickly make alternative arrangements out of necessity.

Marlene is very friendly and helpful.
The facility is spacious and provides all basic self-catering requirements. We were able to take a nice hot shower in the fresh, wet weather during our visit, and slept well. It is a good stopover to be able to go through the border early the next morning.
Plekkie is very nice and clean and we were warmly received. Everything you need for 1 night's sleepover. Room was just very cold and we had to lie in bed under blankets to warm up. Even too cold to take a shower in the morning. A heater in the room will make a big difference.

We booked a place to stay the night on the way to Botswana. Terribly very "warm" received by Marlene. Room 1 is beautiful, neat and clean with its own porch where we could sit quietly and catch the afternoon sun. I would recommend Marlene's place, Bly 'n Biekie, anytime. Will stop by again when we're in the area again. Thank you very much Marlene for the hospitality.

Value for money, for that price I have stayed in horrible places, this place was nice and clean. Like a stay over at your favourite aunt's house.
The lady was very friendly. The power was off when we got there, but she heated water for us on a gas stove for a cup of coffee. Will definitely recommend it to friends.

The owner is very caring and ensures you are taken care of. The only issue was the water was off, but that was a council issue. Other than that I would certainly stay there again.

Great place to sleep over. Marlene is a warm person who puts you at ease, a people person. Accommodation large, beds comfortable and bathrooms with shower and bath, well maintained and wonderfully peaceful.

We booked two rooms, but only one was available. The other guesthouse we refer to was not up to standard. Luckily it was just for one night.
A pleasant overnight stay en-route to Namibia.
We were very kindly received by Marlene. Unfortunately we couldn't get the dinner there. The room was neat and we had a good night there.
Two things could be improved: The map of Zeerust on the internet does not indicate Lobatsi or Swartruggens, so it is quite a challenge for visitors to find the right direction to Bly 'n Biekie. No mosquitoe nets during somer to stop the armies of mosquitoes. Very hot and stuffy without air conditioning in the room. Very relaxing accommodation though.
Neat, comfortable and spacious. At least one armchair in the room will be a valuable addition.
