My daughter and I stayed there for 1 night. It was quiet and peaceful, the environment is clean and tidy. The cottage was cute and big enough for us, everything you needed was in the unit. Braai facilities were nice because it was sheltered and you can braai even if it's cold outside. The beds sleep well and there are more than enough warm blankets. We enjoyed it very much. The hostess was very friendly and came to meet us at the unit, showed us where we could go for a walk and made us feel right at home. Would recommend the place to everyone.

But we will visit again. They also just have to get the ants under control. But I must also say that the ants here in Gauteng are also just a problem.

Place is peaceful and we slept well. Water is very scarce. No milk in fridge and ice container was empty, only old ice from previous visitors. The facilities were absolutely clean, well-equipped, and private and provided a surreal sense of being removed from the daily hustle and bustle. The accomodation is centrally located, just a few minutes away from some great restaurants, landmarks and brilliant nature points. The shortish hiking trail was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely make use of this venue again in the future!

Everything you need for an overnight stay.
We were very pleasantly surprised by Bly-'n-Bietjie Self-catering Units. It was well appointed, with some minor maintenance issues that should be looked into. The en-suite bathroom was a little smelly, and the shower made us laugh so hard. It's very noisy, and we found that you actually had to put the water on quite a lot so that it didn't come in fits and starts. The unit was clean and neat, and from what we could see, it had everything you needed. A brand new mop was brought by a very friendly person. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of us getting dressed for the wedding we were attending, so I didn't get a name. Very tranquil, and it would have been nice to stay longer. The bird song was heavenly.
We were checked into unit C, it felt like we were in the bush with the goats grazing along the wire.

The unit was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The walking route was very beautiful, wildlife was encountered and it was great excitement for the children. It rained most of the weekend, luckily Harties is just around the corner, and we drove through to have a look.
What an amazing little paradise. We stayed in Unit A and it catered for all our needs. It was even equipped for loadshedding, with rechargeable lights, a gas bottle, kettle and a generator. The farm is tranquil with the most beautiful natural surroundings such as the bushveld, mountains, little rabbits, goats and bokkies and yet you are safe and private the entire time. The walking trail is super cute. We will definitely return.

It would be nice if the manager/owner could just drop in at least once to see if everything is ok and if we might need anything. Not seen with an eye. I sent a WhatsApp message to get the load shedding schedule for the area also no reply on my WhatsApp. On the last day we got new residents next door in Unit C and they were very loud while hanging out on their porch, I feel the units are not very private in that sense, although you couldn't see each other you could see everything hear what's going on next door.
There is not much to do for teenagers but the location is good and it was very neat and spacious. The children have to keep themselves busy and there is no WiFi so the technology can be worked on. Very good further.

From the time we got there, the place was clean. They also gave the privacy as they promised.
The place had everything we required and was just very tranquil and relaxing. The owner is very warm and welcoming and makes a concerted effort to make guest feel comfortable.
I would give the units friendly names as opposed to A, B and C. The amount of electric fencing is a bit off putting but I guess a necessary evil in today's times.
Everything was great. The owner can only pay attention to the hot water system. We stayed 2 nights and had no hot water both mornings. I reported it the first morning. Water was only hot on the morning of our departure just before 10 o'clock, just before we had to check out.
My wife and I hugely enjoyed our unforgettable stay of 12 days! We never used the available TV, but enjoyed our own big screen computer with movies, music (no Wi-Fi internet). Our mobiles could connect to the internet. We went on daily walks to the tarred road (1 km) and from the roads to various plots. We enjoyed the aircon in the lounge during the hot summer days, as well as the ceiling fans, and braaied every day. There is an excellent mall just outside Brits, about 10 km away, and other excellent shops in Schoemansville (6 km away). We missed a nearby hiking trail.

Our stay was in a very well equipped Unit B which was very pleasant and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful - just what we needed after a crazy and messy year. Bly-'n-Bietjie is centrally located, and Hartebeespoort and Brits are easily accessible. We felt at home during the week we were there.

The units are located on a farm/small holding and it was great to be close to some animals and out of the hustle and bustle of city life, whilst being only 45 minutes from Pretoria. We also loved that we could cool off in the sparkling pool!

The kitchen equipment and accessories have been well thought out and offer more variety than the average self-catering unit. If you like to cook on holiday this is a big plus.
Upon arriving at Bly-'n-Bietjie we felt welcome. The rooms are big and the unit was neat and clean and provided a great night's sleep. Our visit was only short because we only stayed one night, but we would definitely recommend the unit.
