The owner is a very friendly and down to earth person. Always making sure that you are comfortable and that your needs are met. Our stay was stress-free. Farm life is just on another level, no need to worry about thieves and the city elements that bring stress to a person's daily life.

A charming old world home, with a host who makes you feel right at home. So much effort to make the stay easier, and a nostalgic place to stay with the most beautiful view of the surroundings and mountains. Sit on the porch and drink in the peace, camp next to the fire under the Karoo starry sky. Thank you for so much effort from the host, and thank you for being at home from the moment of arrival. It wants to be done!
Blye Uitsig is ideal for people who prefer tranquility and like the farm environment. It's securely fenced with a gate that can close, there's plenty of space for children to play and ride bikes. Would definitely recommend it.

We immediately felt at home at Blye Uitsig. The house is well equipped and ideally located if you want to experience some silence but still want to do activities in the Oudtshoorn area. Wilna is also a wonderful hostess.

Our party settled comfortably into Blye Uitsig and enjoyed the one-night stay. Having a separate toilet would have significantly improved the facilities. The braai and outside fireplace were a big bonus and added to our relaxing but short stay. Cooling off in the neighbouring pool was also a big benefit. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Wilna was an exceptionally friendly host. The house was exactly like it was shown on the website. Although Oudtshoorn was hot the house was always cool and the cherry on the cake for my husband was the air-con in our room. It was bliss not to hear heavy traffic and just enjoy the quietness of Blye Uitsig. I will definitely be back.

The house is a typical farmhouse that I grew up with, it brought back the memories again. The hostess was wonderful and she really went the extra mile for us. She is a fantastic person who makes you feel right at home. The place has everything from chocolates on your pillow to a ginger farm cat. Something that can make everyone's heart happy. There is a large braai area where we had a great time around a fire until late. Will definitely visit the farmhouse again.

The house is fully equipped with everything one might need. The tranquility of the surroundings and the lovely veranda let you relax while you stare at the sunset with something cold in your hand and you can simply feel the tension disappearing systematically. Here you definitely leave the city's hustle and bustle behind.
We enjoyed the time at Blye Uitsig, were received hospitably and kindly. The air conditioners were a big plus. There is everything that is needed. Will definitely be able to recommend.

Would definitely recommend Blye Uitsig, we were a group of 4 who only stayed one night, but the short time we were there was excellent. Wilna made no effort to wait for us in the road late in the evening, so that we would not miss the turn off. The wood that was available for grilling was a nice cremation. Conveniently close to Oudtshoorn and perfect overnight stop between the Western and Eastern Cape.
The house has been refreshing for the whole family. Very neat, with a large yard where everyone could play together and just enjoy each other.

If I could give 8 stars instead of 5, I would! The hospitality, friendliness, excellent value for money and fantastic location are just a few reasons why Blye Uitsig is a real must if you are considering the Klein Karoo! Wilna went out of her way to make us feel at home - nothing was too much trouble, and her hospitality comes from her heart so much that it really feels like you are visiting a family farm. The old farmhouse (built 1935) makes the stay authentic and full of character. The house is wonderfully equipped - and our teenager appreciated the WiFi and DStv - although she would rather go for a walk on the farm. We have often stayed in and around Oudtshoorn, but I am honest that Blye Uitsig will always be remembered as one of the best ever. We drove 1300 km to take my elderly mother to her hometown, and it was no water experience! Stayed there so nice for 10 days. Absolutely unforgettable! Wilna - may you get a lot of rain soon, and may your Blye Uitsig and your farming be blessed. Many thanks for everything!
Nice large detached house with air conditioning in master bedroom and living area and a lovely braai area outside. There is even an indoor braai for cold or wet days. Generally very well equipped. Even a full laundry room is available next to the braai area. Complimentary crate of wood was provided and lock up garage for 2 vehicles was of course also a bonus. Definitely neat, well-equipped and pocket-friendly accommodation that I have already recommended to friends and family.
Wilna went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant. Only stayed there one night but would love to go back. Wonderful braai facilities and spacious house.

We were received very kindly, and Wilna thought it good to turn on the air-con and fans in the house before we landed there, it was very hot. The cottage was neat and clean, and had everything that was needed, also extra towels and even a treat on the beds. In the terrible heat, she even invited the children to go swimming at their house. It's safe and delightfully quiet, and we hung out on the big porch until late. Thank you very much Wilna, if we turn in your direction again, we will definitely stay there again. A lovely big house and fully enclosed garden where we stayed with our dogs. Wilna went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
Everything was beautiful, neat and clean. Nothing was too much effort for Wilna, even brought us candles just in case the power would go down. Our show dogs were very safe and enjoyed the space. Lovely warm shower and good beds. We'll definitely stay there again next year.
