Very neat place with everything you need. Nice courtyard where the guests of the rooms can hang out together and have a barbecue. Very neat rooms and excellent service. There are only 5 steps from the parking area which may be a problem for older people.

Communication and arrangements before we arrived were thorough and faultless and we were hospitably received upon check-in. The modern self-catering unit was spacious and apart from the normal, there were many extras such as a Nespresso coffee machine, fast induction hob and all necessary kitchen utensils. The sleeping area was nicely finished and there is also a small desk for use with a laptop or even for eating. Also two comfortable chairs. The comfortable bed has a separate top sheet (many guesthouses no longer have this) and an electric blanket. There is no wardrobe, but a convenient chest of drawers to unpack clothes in. The separate open hanging shelf on wheels was effective, but a bit in the way and we had to move it out of the way at bedtime. The lighting is very good and there are many power plugs which are also convenient for mobile phone and computer chargers etc. The bathroom is modern and comfortable with a spacious walk-in shower. There is also a common outdoor hangout area with couches and also an outdoor barbecue area with a dining table. There is a secure parking area, with sufficient parking, but the entrance and inside turning space is limited for large vehicles.
Our stay was very nice, the room was clean, tidy and modern. Little things that made our stay even more enjoyable were soft drink options in the fridge, various durable coffees and Netflix on the TV. Very nice visiting area too.
The owners are very friendly and you are warmly welcomed. The units are beautifully laid out and we immediately felt at home. The environment is quiet, peaceful and very safe. There was a municipal power outage during the night of our stay which was still going on when we left, but our hostess went out of her way to get up early, contact us and let us know she was going to provide us with boiling water for coffee because we wanted to check out at 7am. You don't just see that in today's life. This is proof to me that the owners are "people" people who care, always put their guests' interests first and will not hesitate to go the extra mile to make everything as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for their guests. And for that we say a big thank you to Erna our hostess. We will certainly use Boekenhout Accommodation again for overnight facilities, and we highly recommend them to any prospective guests who are looking for your "home" away from home where you can relax wonderfully without any worries. You guys are great. May you go from strength to strength with your guesthouse. Thanks again for a nice stay.
