If I could give 10 stars for location I would, the place has the most beautiful view! The cottage is really spacious and has everything you need. Elsje went out of her way to answer all our questions and help. Friendly nice people. The only negative point was that there is no fiberglass on the farm (understandable) and having online meetings overseas just didn't work at all. Even when we went off the internet and on data, the connection kept 'dropping'.
Thought about our next visit before we even left. The night sky is something else; there are so many stars. Thank you to the hosts, it is a beautiful farm.

What a wonderful spot! The cottages are well positioned, very well equipped, spotless and with everything needed to make for a totally relaxing weekend. Although we did not meet the host personally, her communication was top notch. If you're looking for a weekend away, not far from Cape Town, with beautiful views and a place to totally relax, you cannot go wrong booking a cottage at the accommodation. Highly recommended.

Very neat, cozy and the people are so friendly. It was the first time we had been to a self-catering and all the braai facilities were spotlessly clean. They thought of all the little amenities that made the weekend just that much more comfortable. Rechargeable lights for loadshedding, more than enough washcloths, even a bag of ice and milk they left for us. I would only suggest that you go with a bakkie or tall car, because there is a piece of dirt road and the hill up is quite steep.

Elsje welcomed us with such warmth at Bon Accord. She provided all the information to easily find the farm, check in and was available on her phone for any questions we might have. The cottage is very well furnished with everything you could need. It's wonderfully comfortable and provision has also been made for load shedding.
Small extras that give a lot of points, even coffee, tea, biscuits, ice in the freezer that make it so much more pleasant for the traveler.
The cottage is stylish, elegant, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. Extra effort has been made to make the stay as pleasant as possible, such as mosquito netting in front of all the windows, a free bag of wood and lighters, coffee, tea, sugar and milk, a carafe of sherry, as well as the most delicious biscuits. To mitigate the inconvenience of load shedding, the cottage is equipped with emergency lights and a gas stove. Together with the breathtaking view, silence and privacy, it is the ideal getaway.
The hospitality and the terribly beautiful town that is really so close was very relaxing.
One of the top stays we have had the privilege of enjoying. Suggest you take along a pair of binoculars, good reading matter and during the winter, extra firewood.

A lovely little house on the slopes of the mountains with a breathtaking view. We have never stayed overnight in such a well equipped cottage. Air conditioning, fans, cuddly feather duvets, delicious soap in the bathroom. Dishwasher and soap, even a roll of foil and plastic wrap in the kitchen. The icing on the cake was the deliciously sweet muscadel on a silver tray.
This is a fantastic place and well run. Would recommend it to any person. Felt so welcome and at home. The large porch, braai and view are breathtaking.

We were so impressed with our cottage at Bon Accord. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we required for the night. All we had to bring was our food and clothing. We loved the awesome views of the lands below and thoroughly enjoyed watching the birdlife around us. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen very well-equipped. The communication from Elsja was wonderful from the time we booked to the time we arrived. We really appreciated the good directions she gave us to locate the farm and the info about all the activities in the area. Elsja is a fantastic hostess. We will be back.
This is our second stay here and it was as great as the first time. The house is fully equipped but it is the special touches that make it really special. The view is spectacular. It is so peaceful, but with abundant wildlife. The location is great and an quick commute to town. It really is a little piece of heaven on earth.

My wife and I went there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Ideal environment and guest house to just catch your breath and contemplate the privilege of married life. One can stare at the mountains for hours. Then there are the vineyards and orchards, birds and wildlife to enjoy. Everything is well, practical and sensibly furnished. It is very tidy and there are cleaning services for those who just want to get away from the everyday household stuff. We really enjoyed it and returned home refreshed. Everything you could need under one roof. Would definitely recommend for a week long break. Only downside is that the rooms only have fans, only the living area has air conditioning. It can get quite hot in the valley. The fireplace will make for a lovely winter retreat.
Being nestled in the bosem of the mountains, spectacular views of the orchards, and being greeted by the stinging bite of winter's morning was the best ever. Definitely a regular winter visitor from now on.

As my title reads, this was one of the best self catering cottages I have ever stayed at! It is quiet and secluded with picturesque views of the farm and surrounding mountains. I highly recommend this place for some home away from home R&R. The cottage we stayed in was modern yet quaint and more than fully equipped with all furniture and amenities needed to live comfortably. The host was beyond friendly and really made me feel comfortable with her organisation and was not obtrusive in any way!

The directions were easy to follow. We were welcomed and briefed on how everything works. The cabin was so beautiful on the inside it felt like a home away from home, I felt very welcome and cherished as I walked into the cottage. It is clear that attention is paid to detail. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could need. Everything was 'army inspection-clean' and the view from the veranda was a feast for the eyes.

We were welcomed with a huge smile and boasting personality of the owners of the farm. from the cottage to surrounding areas i was taken away. The accommodation was spotless clean fully equipped and perfect for the winter period which we came for. All in all I would highly recommend, this is excellent value for money and I do plan to come back again.
As we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff, who quickly and efficiently managed to get us booked in. We were in cottage 3 and it really was exceptional, with everything you might need for your stay. Since we went in the winter, it was great to also have electric blankets, heaters and an indoor and outdoor fireplace at the cottage to keep warm. Overall it was a great getaway, and we will most definitely return when we have an opportunity. I would say that Bon Accord is great value for money.
We were a group of 8 bowlers staying in 2 chalets. The chalets are very nice and very well equipped. We had a great stay and will definitely use it again and would be happy to recommend it. We were received very hospitably and immediately felt at home.

Bon Accord is a fantastically beautiful place in a magical valley. We raced back every evening to experience the sunset. The house is beautifully situated on a mountain with the most beautiful view. There are so many little special touches in the place that made it very special. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the living room. Would love to come back again.
My stay at Bon Accord was a pleasure. Although it is a quiet and peaceful place, it is only a few kilometers from Montagu. The house was neat, exceptionally spacious, with en-suite bathrooms for both bedrooms, fully equipped in the kitchen, and with some DStv channels as well. In addition, there is a beautiful view from the large veranda. There were also extra signs of thoughtfulness, such as milk for the first day, as well as wood, and complementary muskadel. I highly recommend Bon Accord.

My wife and I drove to Montagu with our motorcycles. Elsje got us extra wood and ice that would hae be difficult on the motorcycles. The cottage is very nice with what you need. The air-conditioning was a bonus. I have to say I will go again. It is much nicer to stay on the farm than in the town itself.

Me and a couple of my friends rented this house for the weekend. We couldn't ask for more. The house has the most beautiful view, you feel safe and everything was clean and neat. We felt comfortable and they thought of everything to make our stay as convenient and comfortable as possible.

We just want to thank Elsje and Anton for their hospitality. From the baby cot and diaper changing station for our little baby that Elsje set up, to the wood that Anton helped us with for a nice barbecue and making a fireplace. The house is very nicely and neatly furnished and has all the amenities you can think of. It has a nice big porch with a covered braai, which we really enjoyed. Especially late afternoons with a cocktail, the view is also blissful and soul-satisfying.

Bon Accord was definitely one of the highlights of our honeymoon. It was the little things we noticed that made the stay so great - things like proper wine glasses, Victorinox knives, aircon and a small bundle of starter firewood. Would definitely return.

We are totally in love with the place, and returned 3 days after our first stay because we just couldn't get enough of the delicious fresh air, silence, nature, and also the people. This is for sure one of our favorite destinations ever. The cottages are more than fully equipped, and everywhere there are such surprises as a complimentary bottle of wine, bathroom heater, selection of coffee, etc, etc... In our books, Bon Accord and its people are 5-star! We can't wait to show the kids and grandkids what we discovered! We have stayed at many places, but this has to be one of the best [if not the best] self-catering units we have stayed at. Everything is neat, clean and shows special attention to detail. The unit has all the necessary facilities and even the coffee is of a high quality instead of the cheap kind that is always provided. I can confidently recommend Bon Accord.
The welcome was very friendly and it felt like we were visiting good friends. The accommodation was very neat, clean and the location was good with a view of the mountains, vineyards and orchards to satisfy the soul. You will see us again.

We would have liked to stay longer in this beautiful self-catering house on the mountain. When you go for a walk along the mountain path behind the house, or just sit on the porch and gaze over the vineyard and orchards, you are constantly aware of the wonderful nature. Accommodation comprises 3 cottages and can accommodate 10 guests. The first and second cottage each contain 2 bedrooms as well as an en-suite bathroom. The third cottage features 1 bedroom and an en-suite bathroom. Each unit is equipped with DStv, an open fireplace, air-conditioning in the living area, and a covered braai area outside under the veranda.
Guests can visit several great restaurants, or enjoy the well-known dried fruit and nuts. Enjoy some local wines, including the famous and sought-after Muskadel. Activities in the surrounding area include; mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, and scenic drives.
From the private covered verandas you can enjoy spectacular views over vineyards and orchards towards the Langeberg Mountain, and down the Baden Valley towards Montagu.
