It was our 50th wedding anniversary and just what we needed. No mobile reception and only in nature. Game drive was pleasant staff well trained. Friendly staff and we were kindly received and also greeted upon our departure. Layout of chalets excellent, each one separate in forest unaware of your neighbor and wildlife roaming between chalets.
What a great experience! Our family had a wonderful time together. It's very private, clean and absolute value for money. The units were luxurious, cleaned every day and you feel so part of nature. It's also close to many attractions. We will definitely go back again.

The resort is well maintained, the chalet was clean and comfortable, food was plain but good and reasonably priced, wine selection as shown on menu was OK except that very few choices were available.

The lodge people are very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and tidy every day. Just think their pools need attention. Leaves and bugs are everywhere and the bottom is full of sand. The tiles of the swimming pools are faded and therefore the swimming pools look even dirtier. Furthermore, we really enjoyed the lodge. Perhaps a suggestion that there is more than just swimming pools and game drives. A little more to do and enjoy.
The nature is beautiful and there are many animals and many birds, but the place where we stayed (Tree House 12) is neglected and outdated. Definitely not worth what you pay. There isn't much to do either. For us, there are better game parks. The distance there is the same, but around the wildlife park in the area there is much more luxurious accommodation available for the same amount and plenty to do in the area.

Tree house 7 was right in nature with the birds flying around and nyala walking by and close to the waterhole/viewing deck. Thanks to Steve for our first game drive, he really went out of his way to make it memorable for us and we learned a lot of new things from him. Every time we see a fever tree, we see him with his yellow hands. Would recommend a game drive with him. From reception right through to maintenance was a friendly team of people and so helpful. The only negative was our short time, will definitely be back and the road map of the reserve is a bit confused and we almost ended up on a no entry road.
Was just a quick overnight while attending a function somewhere else, so didn't utilise the facilities to the fullest. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were surprised at the abundance of wildlife. Pleasant experience.
Been recommended and booked by a South African friend, we as Swizz citizens really experienced South African hospitality, food and nature.
A small bath with a hand shower is not acceptable. We used our guests' room to shower. The water needs to be clear, it was brown. I expected full access to the game area, some roads were restricted and game drives had to be arranged and paid for.

The pitches are level and spacious - pitches are far apart, so you hardly know your neighbors. The ablution facilities are clean but need finishing work. Furthermore, Bonamanzi is great.

The location is unfortunately not very practical for people looking for more than just camping out and resting. Everything is a distance from there. The roads inside the lodge are poorly marked.
