It is more like a hotel.
The place is located on a plot on the side of the road with no visible boards especially for guests coming from the mall side as we driving on the left and the board is on the right? The entrance needs a concrete or paving ramp its sloppy gravel lower cars are struggling to enter. It's in the middle of a very busy road again for guests coming from the mall side its dangerous as we have to quickly drive in before cars coming from the opposite direction pass. No fridges in the rooms and not working aircons in this heat? Really? Rooms not clean and they are too dark even during the day due to dark curtains and beddings.
Rooms only need bedside cabinets with lamps.
Not at all like on the website. The bar does not exist and is now storage space for old broken TV sets and old furniture. When you ask for drinks you have choices between Coke, Black Label and Castle. That's it. No wine to enjoy with the meal. The mosquitoes in the room ate me alive. No poison at reception nor in the room. Room very neglected. Curtains hang crooked. Shower was dirty. The smell of toilet cubes was overwhelmingly nauseating. Half roll of toilet paper in toilet. Receptionist tells me they will still upgrade the bar but the current customers and guests just want to eat and then go to the rooms. Probably the reason you can't drink anything on the porch and watch the river. The monkeys were cute though. Ordered dinner and waited more than one hour. At least it was edible. Paid the beer and dinner cash but received no invoice. She just put the money on the table. Couldn't wait to drive home. Didn't even wait to eat breakfast. At home I had to look carefully at whether the mosquito bites were sitting on me or if I was sitting on the mosquito bites.
At first it was difficult to locate it but as soon as i got there, I realised it was a great place with friendly staff members.
The guest house is absolutely beautiful, but definitely needs some attention. The thatched roofs are covered with cobwebs and dust. The walls of the rooms had not seen a wet cloth for a long time. The shower taps were loose and the water spilled all over the bathroom. The lady who works in the kitchen and the restaurant/dining hall is unhelpful, and rolls her eyes when you ask her something. A few times I had to pick her up from the chair where she was sitting on her cell phone. This guest house is located in a mining town, and it is right for contractors. But for business or family stay, I would not recommend it.
