The toilet needs to be upgraded. Wasn't clean. Seemed cleaned long ago. Spiderwebs on the skirting in one bedroom.

The unit is clean and tidy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every morning. Safe environment and would recommend anytime.
The curtains were not enough to cover all the windows. And the shower was a mess, it's like a loose "cubicle" you have to climb into with no hold and an uneven floor. No no no no.
We were only looking for an overnight stay after our vacation because we were flying the next day. It was good for us for that purpose.
The place look like their home and they also live there but they don't disclose.
When you go out to toilet and shower outside your room it's dark at the passage. No air freshener in toilet sharing, no matt when you step out of the shower. No even an iron I had to beg for an iron for the first time in guest houses I visited in Cape Town to face problems like that. they said to me iron is not catered in the package. Going to take a shower without locking a bathroom, no key for bathroom and I fought for that as I showered on the first day without locking a bathroom. To them it was like I was preforming when I was complaining about taking a bath without locking the door as we were sharing the bathroom and toilet, especially that lady her attitude was bad and said they have given me that accommodation at a very fair price and so I should not complain. I've asked a quotation and paid. I will never ever go there in my life.
The guesthouse is not up to the standard, they don't care about their clients. They only consider the tourist outside South Africa.
Bonino is a home away home, staff is friendly, service is great. For my next visit to the Cape I will go back.
