Yes thank you It was pleasant. The food was nice. The only two things we missed were 1. Only one pillow per person (at least we got 2 more pillows in the spare room). 2. There was no small soap/soap.
Friendly service and comfortable lodgings. More an overnight place than a guest farm but it is very convenient with good amenities.
The hostess called us to confirm arrangements and received us kindly. The house is clean, tidy and very spacious, a welcome relief after a hot day's travel. The unit is conveniently close to the main route without having to hear road noise throughout the night. We appreciate the peaceful stay and were able to hit the road the next day refreshed.
The hostess warmly welcomed us, helped us freeze meat and put it in front of our door the next morning without us knowing. Excellent service.
The reception was top notch. Very friendly caretaker and the lady also called us when we were still on the road. Place is located right next to the N1 which makes it perfect to sleep over. Clean, room with enough space. Nice barbeque comfortably in the room with private veranda. All criticism I will make is the bed's mattress which is very old and used. Didn't sleep comfortably at all. There are also no steak knives, or grill tongs to grill with. There are a lot of flies and one might look for a way to reduce them in some way.
Boschrand is just off the N1, but is still quiet and safe. Our hostess made us a lovely supper from a last-minute request.
The unit was large, very neat and clean. We were received very kindly. The location is ideal for the long journey on the N1. We will definitely stay there again.

Pleasant stay. Gul received by the hostess. Spacious unit. Well equipped. Close to the main road - one does not have to drive far after turning off. Recommended as a peaceful stay.

Free State farm for half-way stop from the Cape to Gauteng. Very neat and clean - opposite the N1. Most beautiful sunsets.
Location is convenient next to N1. Very friendly welcome. Accommodation itself is not pleasant. The toilet leaked, fixtures in the kettle, when you take a shower everything is wet. Didn't get value for our money. Will not stay there again unfortunately.
Small shed was ready for the boys to stretch their legs before we hit the road again in the early morning.
Personal service, braai pack also very tasty and more than enough for one person. I was called when I turned around to make sure I didn't get lost. Excellent service.

Great location for our stop over between Johannesburg and the Eastern Cape. Clean, comfortable, tasty meal and made to feel very welcome! On our list for a return visit! Only issue was, Waze kept trying to take us to a different place, no fault of Boschrand, just raising for others who may use Waze to rather phone and get a pin drop.

Everything was neat and clean. The lady provided side dishes and meat for our braai. Haven't had such good meat in a long time, especially the mutton, and at very reasonable price. Would stay there again.

The living area was a bit dusty and I am allergic to dust. The shower has to be upgraded.

We were really looking forward to a quiet evening at the farm (following their advertising on the website) but much to our surprise we were taken to a small room and told to have our meals brought to us will become After a walk around the site we soon realized that the farm does not actually belong to the owner of the Guest Farm and that they only rent the house site. It was neglected and not really a working farm at all. Back at our room, the disappointments were just getting bigger and bigger. Because when we switched on the TV the owner did not pay his DStv bill and therefore we could not watch any programme. After dinner we decided to take an early shower, but then something else happened that we hadn't foreseen. A big storm which means no electricity! Now we sit in the dark. Well, all that made sense then is that we just go to sleep in order to hit the road again early the next morning and get out of there as soon as possible. Thanks to Tannie Lettie and her team who tried very hard to make us feel comfortable. But she can only do so much on her part. The rest is the owner's share.
We were pleasantly surprised with the stay at Boschrand. Our welcome was warm and our children had a great time frolicking in the sprinkler and on the climbing frame. Although the location is very close to the N1, the farm is tranquility itself. The house where we stayed was clean, tidy and well equipped. We will definitely stay there again. Good value for money!
Please support the people. Very good service, but needs some maintenance. Very private, each unit with covered braai facilities. Breakfast and side dishes are provided by them at very reasonable prices. Cold beer and wine are waiting in the fridge.
It was delicious. Everything was in place and clean. The cold beer and soda in the fridge was the pinnacle of customer service. Just when we wanted to start a fire for the barbecue, they delivered a big bag of wood. It's nice to pull over there and rest before tackling the rest of the road the next day. Would highly recommend the place.
Accommodation very comfortable but building funishings not up to standard. Meals are up to standard but not value for money. Guest house far from everything.
The place needs an upgrade. Grubby old showers with no outlet grate, no hot water from the bathroom tap, toilet door handle fastened on to metal plates due to door being broken. The place is very cold with no wall heaters. Otherwise the cottage was comfortable and clean.
Very neat and clean. Warm reception. The boer lady's farmstyle food was delicious and she went out of her way to accommodate our special request regarding meals. It is also the ideal resting place next to the N1 for travellers travelling between Transvaal and Cape Town.

We spent one night at Boschrand on our trip from Port Elizabeth to Pretoria. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. We asked for dinner to be served to us in advance and a tasty meal was brought to our cottage.
We had a very nice stay. Wonderful dinner and bubbly hospitality received.
