Very nice and tidy accommodation. Everything you need. Perfect getaway in the bushveld. Saw lots of wildlife and the giraffes were a highlight. The hiking trails and swimming pool were also an experience. We will definitely come here again for a getaway.

We have, but the owners need to look at the following: 1. The cottage is advertised as the "Bosveld cottage" but it's actually Madeliefie cottage. 2. The number (55) was not visible at all to indicate the house. 3. The place must not be available if the owners are also there - the houses are too close to each other.
Was very nice, just a pity the nature is so dry, but would like to visit there again if it rained in the summer.

Enjoyed our stay. Quaint, yet comfortable accommodation. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the bush, dam and rock pools in the estate. Some road noise was noticeable on Friday evening, however the rest of the weekend was peaceful.

Everything was pretty clean. Bosveldhuisie had everything that was needed. Area nice and quiet and we had a wonderful walk and saw wildlife.
We rested well. The silence is exactly what one needs if one wants to get away from the city's many noises. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool while the goats and giraffes walked by. It was also nice to see the warthogs playing in the mud.

The house is really beautiful and neat. Everything you need is there and it's good quality equipment. We both really enjoyed the silence. Will definitely go there again.
There was just one big problem. We were without electricity from Friday 3pm until Monday when we left because a substation failed. Nevertheless, we had a great time and the gas stove saved us, but we would like to suggest that there will be a generator available for such problems.
This is a beautiful place where you can just rest. No distractions, just the forest. The house is beautifully furnished, you can see that love has been put into it. Exactly as in photos. We saw a lot of wildlife, right near the house. Really recommend it for a break from the city.

We spent a lovely, peaceful weekend in the woods. Although it rained a lot, our time there was exactly what we wanted, a weekend of rest, peace and relaxation. The scent of wet rain forest and the clean nature just let us recharge.
For a quick getaway Bosveldhuisie is ideal. It is very quiet and you are part of the tranquility of nature. Bosveldhuisie is very neat and clean and has all the facilities you will need. The children enjoyed it very much, could cool off in the swimming pool and had a great time cycling. Will definitely visit again.

Completely not a value for money and will not even make a mistake of recommending anyone to visit that place. You guys need some serious bench mark with other places in order to do the right thing and have your clients satisfied, this is really really bad I must say. I have been to numerous places but what I have experienced last weekend was like a prison.
A small romantic cottage in the woods, almost very private. Neat with everything you need. Not suitable for older couples with small children, it is bush and there is little for the children to do. I definitely recommend the cottage for the couple who want to get away for a few days alone. The farm is beautiful and the gorge is a must-go walk. Good value for money.

It feels as if you are alone in the forest, surrounded by beautiful trees, wildlife and birds. Hours spent around the campfire and well rested.

We had an absolute wonderful stay. Amazing estate in the bushveld. Safe, clean and the house was everything I pictured. Beautiful with attention to detail. Neat and cute accommodation in the "bosveld". Great place to just relax and watch some wildlife. Very quiet environment and located almost in the middle between Bela-Bela and Modimole. The dirt road to the Bosveldhuisie was in good condition and the Bosveldhuisie was well maintained and tidy.
We had a great time on the farm. It was so peaceful and the whole family enjoyed it. We watched wildlife, cycled and walked. Carolien was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely want to visit Bosveldhuisie again.
What a lovely woodland tranquility. According to the unit, giraffes, warthogs and zebras were seen. We could enjoy cycling on the farm. The boma great for a campfire and the swimming pool will be lovely in summer. A hidden diamond for sure!

Lovely little "huisie". Quiet surrounds. On a small game farm with many houses, although far apart, I think it can get quite busy during the holiday season. Lovely walks and the water in the stream and dams are beautifully crystal clear. We saw quite a few different species of animals including kudu, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, impala, warthog, klipspringer, duiker and rabbits. We saw spoor of hyena and leopard. Non-main roads need a bit of attention and would not be accessible to normal cars. A small cupboard in the main room would be good to put your suitcase onto. A small cupboard in the kitchen would be good to put your food into. There was no cold water in the kitchen, the light by the braai was not working and the bath towels were too small. Otherwise, there was everything that you could need.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tranquillity and safety. The cottage is almost perfect, just two small wishlist items below. It would be nice to have a reed fence between the cottage and the road for more privacy. Every car driving past has a good look into the cottage. Perhaps in summer, with more foliage, it is not an issue. And big wish: solar heated pool. But that is only a big wish. But really a lovely, enjoyable 4 days spent relaxing. Weather was in the upper 20's during day in August, so very comfortable, but the pool was very cold as expected. The owners were extremely helpful and communicated everything very efficiently. Giraffes eating in the garden, monkeys came to visit, kudu strolling through the property. Saw zebra, warthogs, and a few different buck species. I think the owners have done a great job. 110% to them.
Bosveldhuisie is truly a home in the bush, one feels at one with nature and the surroundings. The cottage is very quaint, neat and clean with all the amenities you need, peaceful and quiet, making it easy for a person to recharge your batteries. Will definitely be back.

To stay with Harteliefhuisie was a privilege for us. It is very small but not concise. Clean and neat and everything you needed was there. It is so peaceful in nature. The cycling between the animals was more than expected. It was awesome.

The mountain stream was running and the swimming hole is great for cooling off in the heat. We saw quite a few animals, unfortunately some eluded us. We will track them down on our next visit. With the heart theme, it seemed like a romantic getaway place with my partner. However, the owner came by on the Saturday morning at 8am with his dog which ran into the cottage while I was in my PJ's in the kitchen! Then the owner did his mowing and maintenance (lots of banging) and the weed-eater droned on for the entire morning at the main house behind the cottage. He also said he had to do some repairs to the cottage, so we went out for over an hour - but the owner came back AT lunch time to do the repairs, as I was pouring wine and preparing the lunch. My partner ended up having to assist the owner who didn't have the right tools etc. NOT appreciated for a romantic weekend. Basically lunch was put on hold for 2 hours until the maintenance job was done :-( Plus the next day the owner's son was riding his bike right past the cottage windows while I was getting dressed!!! Other than the issues above we enjoyed the cottage and the fire-pit and the game drives on the estate :-)

I came with my mum and aunt - it was a great ladies break. We couldn't get enough of all the pretty things in the place and it just felt like home right away! Harteliefhuisie is well furnished and very clean! We drove around a bit and could easily see animals. Sunday morning before we left, the giraffes came to visit behind the house! It was truly a great treat. If you are looking for silence and nature, this is definitely the place to be! We will definitely come back to our new place in the forest. We found the house really easy with the given directions. It was pleasant and a surprise to turn in on Harteliefhuisie's gravel road and to see the house between the trees. It is a beautiful place that fits in with thew environment. Everything is clean and neat. It was pleasant to sit on the patio early in the morning and late afternoon and experience the nature around us. The tranquility with just the forest sounds was good for the soul. The security at the gate was also very professional and helpful.

Can just recommend placing ash trays outside for smokes, because one doesn't want to leave cigarette buds all over the place or start a fire.

You can see a lot of love has been put into the house. Very neat, is very clean and the most important things you need are there. Very nicely located for visits to Bela-Bela, Modimolle and interesting things to do in the area. You don't have to be bored. Unfortunately, the house is very hot, the warmth lingers in the house for a long time and you cannot get out, despite the fans on the ceiling and the mobile fan. Unfortunately, one cannot sit comfortably in the shade outside, especially in the mornings. It would have been nice if the canopy by the door was a bit longer so that in the morning you can drink coffee in the shade without getting burned or a small cloth where you can hide from the sun. We were only 2 people and then the place is spacious enough. If you have to stay there with 4 people, it doesn't become so convenient.
Will make permit code for period of stay and not 24 hours. We had a good rest.
We enjoyed it immensely, sitting around the fire until late and being quiet. We were sad because the Falls were dry, wanted to go swimming, but we know it's dry everywhere. Will definitely go there again for rest and peace.

Harteliefhuisie is a beautiful place to relax and get away from all the crazy hustle and bustle. It's conveniently close to town, but far enough in the bush. Harteliefhuisie was beautifully clean, well equipped and with good quality furniture. We went for a walk every morning before breakfast and were never disappointed. The giraffe family was a lovely cremation with two small calves. While relaxing on the veranda, we had kudus, giraffes, warthogs, monkeys and zebras as visitors. Thanks to Carolien for a peaceful getaway, next time we will stay longer than four nights!

The house was very neat, clean and conveniently equipped. We had a great stay, could ride our bikes, walk long distances looking for wild. We enjoyed the evenings sitting around the fire in the small boma - the lack of a TV did us a world of good!
We had an incredibly nice stay in the most beautiful scenery. Harteliefhuisie is beautiful and so well furnished! The reserve is safe and it was wonderful to be able to cycle among the giraffes, kudus and other beautiful wildlife. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of earth with others. Just remember to get the code in advance for the key and the erf number for the gate.
The fact that they only have one chalet definitely adds to the privacy. The chalet is practical, clean, and very well equipped. The boma is wonderful for social times around the fire under the stars.
It was an incredibly nice weekend. Everything was so neat and in place. Just remember to take your own bath towels and braai tongs.
The house is neat and clean. We had a lovely home in the forest surrounded by goats, warthogs and giraffes who came to visit. The fire together in the small boma was delicious. The farm is very close to Bela-Bela, Ziplining, crocodile farm and many other activities.
The parking area is very far from the house, for us as pensioners it was very difficult to carry all the heavy crates and suitcases to the house. They can easily think about moving the parking area much closer to the house.
