An unexpected, delicious bottle of wine, wood for the fireplace and a freezer full of ice was a bonus! The atmosphere is peaceful and the accommodation is fully equipped. The heater in the room kept us cozy and the pool was unused but definitely welcome for the summer visitors.
Nice activities such as Eseltjiesrus, the Saturday morning market and hiking trails.
We would have felt safer with more security. The windows are all easy access once opened and main gate is easy access to unwelcome guests. The cottage is situated on a busy corner with high foot traffic.
We were welcomed with a nice surprise, also coffee and tea, and biscuits, as well as wood for our fireplace. Effort has been made to put another bed in the living room, and the cottage is beautifully furnished. Walking distance to everything, quiet, and rural. We were impressed and will come again!
Enjoyed walking around the streets and seeing the various historic buildings.
The fridge, stove, toaster, kettle and microwave were dirty. The trash looks like it was used for a chair. The cottage is cool and located near a new extension where housing is given. It roars all night.
Beautiful garden and pool which we and our dogs took full advantage of. Will definitely return for another visit.
Bougainvillea Cottage absolutely met our expectations. Quiet, peaceful, tidy with a beautiful garden and swimming pool as a bonus.
We had a lovely stay! We were greeted with a friendly smile upon arrival (even though it was after 7 at night) and a lovely bottle of white wine. I will highly recommend it.
Shower needs a door and bed's duvet could be bigger.
Very neat and clean and convenient with everything that you need. Plus a cosy atmosphere and very nice coffee sold!
Great weekend away from the city's noise. McGregor was very quiet and the choices of places to eat were very limited with quite a few restaurants/diners open. Was able to visit the small market on Saturday morning and bought delicious baked goods and farm products. Our only complaint with Bougainvilla Cottage was that the geyser was turned off. Management may need to put up note or something to inform guests in advance or upon arrival. We had to take a cold shower on Saturday which was not pleasant. Our visit to Eseltjiesrus was the highlight of the weekend and will never forget it.
Peaceful area, surrounded by nature. The cottage is perfect for two people and neat and clean. Will definitely stay here again.
It's a very nice cottage, very comfortable. Well equipped, cozy.
Perfect cottage in the dusty little town, really lovely, had everything we needed.
Had our dog's leads and harnesses stolen from within the property along with a bag of charcoal. Petty theft but think guests should be warned not to leave items outside at all. Have to replace the leads now which is an extra expense! Also could not walk the dogs during the trip which was not great. Pool had way too much Chlorine so could not swim properly.
