99 guests' feedbackCan only shower water temp is low. The weather was cold and raining, we could not sit outside maybe an umbrella or canopy outside. Short a grater, masher and draining bowl for pasta. DStv catches a problem, cuts off a lot, no picture.
Most enjoyable - fully equipped and so close to a beautiful beach, highly recommend! We had a blast fishing off the beach, caught a fish and then tried our luck at Margate Pier (fishing licences were purchased online before we left). Could have done with a few more days as it was relaxing to listen to the sea at night.
It was a very pleasant experience to be so close to the sea. The sound of waves is perfect for people looking for a relaxing getaway.

Fully equipped 2-bedroom apartment. Everything you need is there. The washing machine is a bonus. It is clean and spacious and very peaceful.

What a beautiful clean house. We loved it. And it is so close to the beach. Wish we could stay longer.
Very nice place. A suggestion: the complex should build a roof for the designated braai area (nothing fancy) as you are not allowed to braai on the porches. With coastal weather, sometimes it rains for days, and then you are unable to have a braai.
We booked the place for my brother-in-law for their honeymoon. They were very happy and precisely because it is on the beach! They also communicated with Marc during their stay and he was very friendly and considerate! They barbecued at the (communal barbecue) and sat and visited with an uncle and aunt. There are also rocks on which he went fishing, which can be seen from the bedroom window. They will definitely use the place again.

We had a great stay in Branderkant, it is the ideal place for a small family, walking distance from the beach, nice and cozy in the apartment, just a pity it was so short, would have liked to stay much longer. Will definitely visit there again.

Fantastic sea view, neat and clean.
It's conveniently close to shops and a petrol station. The N2 highway is a stone's throw behind you and if you sit on the front porch you are literally 40 steps from the beach. What a lovely, peaceful place to relax, barbecue and have a good time. Enough play space for the children and it's very safe with an incredible view of the sea. A holiday we will never forget. I would book again anytime and the rates are pocket friendly and service amazing, many thanks to the owner of Branderkant 7, it was a time that will always be talked about.
We were treated warmly from the start and felt welcome even before our holiday started. The owner communicated thoroughly about keys, dos and don'ts and nothing was out of place when we arrived late at night. The woman who came to clean is super friendly and thorough. There is not a single thing we can think of that was not in place or not up to standard. The location is perfect with a choice of "turn left or right" and in no time we were at shops or wherever we wanted to go. I would recommend the accommodation anytime for a nice holiday.
Would just prefer if there was a bathroom downstairs too.

Everything perfect. Everything works (lights, fans, locks, water, furniture,) it's clean. Pots, pans, knives, forks, spoons are brand new! Have stayed in many holiday resorts on the South Coast and Branderkant 7 surpasses them all!

I would just recommend that the owner attends to the plumbing at the bath. We had to fill the bath by using a bucket from the basin. There is only one bath/shower. That was the only issue. Everything else was in order.
Apartment perfectly located. Swimming beaches and shops are close by. Apartment is well equipped. Definitely worth the price per night. Beach is nice and quiet but wouldn't really consider it a swimming beach. Lots of rocks and deep water.

We had a great stay! Beautiful garden and the view from the rooms is so beautiful, the beach was surprisingly quiet even though it was a long weekend. Everything you need is located nearby. Children frolic on the rocks and can just be children. Will definitely book there again.
Very close to the beach, nice quiet, almost private beach. Accommodation has every thing you need. Restaurants are within walking distance. Shops are close too. It's our second stay at Branderkant 7 for 2021and we love it!
It was good value for money, we didn't go in the busy period so it was affordable especially for Margate/Ramsgate. The beach is very close, and it was very nice to go for a swim early in the morning, and it was great to see shells again too. The weather was also very nice, later in the afternoon the rain clouds came, but by then we had finished swimming and had a wonderful 4 days. We did bring an extra fan, would recommend, it gets very hot. And drink ice cream together. Will definitely come again.

Situated by the beach. Very peaceful indeed. However, if they can get rid of the crow nests as they are very vicious birds and we had a hard time leaving due to them protecting a nestling that fell from the nest in front of the doorstep. I have a fear for birds, so advise to sort for those with a similar phobias. But i really enjoyed my stay overall. Thank you.

The mattress in the master bedroom is excellent and had I one of the most peaceful sleeps, being serenaded with the warm caress of the waves on the beach a few meters away. Value for money stay. The kitchen utensils need upgrading, a non stick frying pan, new pots and a decent chef's knife for dicing meat would be a welcome addition. The shower in the bathroom needs attention as it spurts water from a tear in the pipe and the pressure is low in comparison to all the other taps. The lock was replaced on the front door, which refused to open .
To stay at Branderkant 7 is to be at your home, you are just by the beautiful blue sea! It is neat, ideally located, very safe and offers you everything you need and is superbly equipped for the holidaymaker! Branderkant 7 will see our family again soon!

We loved our time at Branderkant. The private beach is a stone throw from the flat and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The flat is slightly dated, but otherwise it is well equipped and very comfortable. The flat is also walking distance from a few restaurants and a well equipped fishing shop (for all those that enjoy fishing like we do). I would highly recommend Branderkant to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable beach getaway.
It is very safe for one's family. One has a very nice sea view. One doesn't have to worry about one's car, very safe, has its own garage parking. The place was very nice inside, as one needs and more, very close to the beach, very close to all the nice eateries that are within walking distance if you want to enjoy family or friends who are very safe, I will definitely recommend Branderkant 7.
We had a great time staying in Branderkant 7. There was everything you needed. The price you pay is actually too cheap for what you get. Nicely located. Nice distance from all the beaches. And the beach you walk out on in the backyard is incredibly beautiful and peaceful.

Branderkant is the perfect complex by the sea! You are close to Margate and Ramsgate and you have the convenience of a private beach on your doorstep. Perfect for people who are not crazy about busy beaches! Stairs are not ideal for a 1 year old unless you bring your own safety gates like we have. Owner is very friendly and helpful! I would recommend the place to anyone!
The television was not working. The sliding door from the lounge was extremely difficult to open. Although we were three adults we were only given two bath towels and no hand towels. The large bunch of keys would be much easier to use if the key and the lock were identified by nail polish or paint. These comments are not meant to be criticisms but suggestions for improvement. The three of us really enjoyed our stay at Branderkant.

Because we were 2 women alone, safety was very important to us and we never felt unsafe, could sit outside and listen to the waves until late in the evening. The unit is very neat and clean. The owner was extremely helpful, and communicated clearly before arrival, and everything was well organized when I got there. The proximity to the beach gets a 10, even though there was not much of a view other than from the bedrooms. Security of the property is good, garden well kept although the communal braais are not cleaned. Furniture was clean and of decent quality, kitchen well equipped although it had more cutlery than needed and less of other things like paring and utility knives. DStv was most welcome for the day that it rained during my stay. Overall, a nice place to stay for a good rest. Look forward to stopping over in the future.

If Branderkant 7 were a person, you would introduce them to your parents. We had a such a unbelievably nice stay, the unit is clean and neat and you feel at home immediately.
What you see is exactly what you get. Nice place to stay with a nice view from the rooms. Own entrance to beach which is convenient. Marc was very helpful and friendly with any questions and feedback from our side. Our unit was cleaned every day and dishes were washed every day for a small fee. The badgers were also there almost every day. Would definitely recommend Branderkant 7 to anyone and would definitely stay there again.
The separate toilet keeps unhooking and the one in the bathroom makes quite a bit of noise. We had a problem with the hot water faucet in the bath. The dial came off, but luckily my husband was able to fix it. Furthermore, definitely a place to hang out and rest.

Small upkeep needed.
The ease of getting the keys was a bonus. The unit has everything we needed. The bonus was the dassies and the dyker in the garden. We also spotted a pod of whales which we could clearly see from the bedroom window. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Marc.

Really enjoyed the stay in the double storey unit. The 2 bedrooms overlook the ocean and in the morning the dassies come to greet you. The living area was comfortable and spacious and liveable. The large garden with braai facilities were neat. The garden makes it possible for a child or children to kick a ball around and run around instead of just being boxed in. You can simply walk out the front door and over the lawn before feeling the sand between your toes in the spacious beach. You can go for lovely walks. Security is good. Owner Marc was very concerned and always followed up with us. Thank you Marc! Branderkant 7 will see us again in the future. Your unit and service is superb. Well done.
We 2 ladies each had a comfortable room with a sea view. The advertisement states that there are 2 bathrooms, which is not the case. One bathroom with a shower inside the bath. The other bathroom is just a toilet. The daily cleaning service is not satisfactory, if it would be more people. The beds were not made and the maid's price for dishes is R25.00 per day which is not mentioned on the advertisement. No toilet paper or dish soap is provided. However, this did not bother us as we are used to washing dishes and making beds. We provided our own toilet paper and dish soap. Maybe this could just be mentioned for future vacationers so they know what to take with them before they check in. The garage for the car was a bonus. We had a great stay and Marc Owens was available by phone and willing to help us if we encountered any problems.
