Guests are encouraged to escape from technology and reconnect with nature and their loved ones. Branksome Country House caters to discerning guests in five stylish mountain-facing rooms. Each room has a private patio, and is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin, and a loft bedroom furnished with 2 single beds catering for children.
A fully equipped kitchen in the open plan lounge and dining areas allows you to prepare meals at your leisure. A large built-in braai is available in the bar area so that you can satisfy your grilling needs regardless of the weather. Breakfast and dinner can be prepared for you on request.
Walk, ride, hike, and mountain bike along the farm jeep tracks when feeling adventurous, or discover the delights of fly fishing in the Sterkspruit River and the other world renowned waters, such as the Bell and Bokspruit that are in close proximity.

It's a beautiful place to sleep - the milking shed has been converted into 5 spacious bedrooms that are very stylishly furnished with a nice big shower. Each room has a veranda with an outside table and chairs. There is a common living area consisting of a lounge, dining room and kitchen, with a nice wood burning fireplace for the cold evenings. Vehicles are parked under a canopy. We slept here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Can definitely recommend it as a lovely place to sleep.
The guest house is top notch. We were lucky to be alone, so could have the kitchen and lounge area to ourselves. That made it perfect for us. We would not have liked the setup if we had to share with other guests. It is therefore the perfect place for family get-togethers or friends get-togethers. Incredible surroundings and you can only stay so long!
I went there to go fishing, I must not have used my fishing rods and they let me know they could make a plan with another rod, no plan was made, pond was full of grass and creek was way too low. I got the idea that there are actually no fish due to drought. If the fishing is poor then they have to collect it on the website. We later felt so uncomfortable that we left a day earlier and stayed at another place. The hostess in charge was not even there, apparently on a hiking trail for the weekend. Afrikaans is also a problem there.
