Woonsrel was in a very quiet residential area in the old Yzerfontein area. You could see and clearly hear parts of the ocean. The apartment is very private and has a very nice patio and barbecue, and the living area was also very spacious and the kitchen comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom were more than adequate and met all needs. The hostess was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. The apartment is walking distance from the main beach, approximately 300m away, as well as to Mile 16 beach.
We really enjoyed and appreciated the stay. A wonderful peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful sea view. The owners are really lovely and quiet people who complimented our stay very much.
It was an added advantage to have solar power so we experienced no loadshedding.

The entire process was simple and user-friendly, with good communication from LekkeSlaap with the comforting knowledge that there will be an agent available at all times to offer support if needed. The place was easy enough to find, even though we might suggest explaining more fully for people who don't know Cape Town at all. The room was compact, but offers everything for two people, especially for people who need an overnight place. The DStv variety was excellent - including movies, news, sport, music, business channels and foreign language channels. Truly excellent value for money. The beautiful West Coast beach was quickly reachable on foot.

The unit has everything you need and you can take care of yourself with meals or barbecue. If you don't want to cook your own meals, there are places to eat. The people in Yzerfontein are "people-people" (just like the owner of the unit) and we really enjoyed being away from the city's hustle and bustle and chatting. Will do it again for sure.

One of the joys for an Australian travelling in South Africa is the welcoming and functional accommodation that is provided by family homes and farms across the country. Breakaway Apartment is a good case in point. This well-appointed and beautifully furnished self-contained apartment sits above the main house and has its own entry. Our stay was enhanced by the comfortable chairs, a big table, fast WiFi, DStv, and a lovely outlook over a private patio area towards the sea that is only a few blocks away. Dalina was a gracious host and even provided some of her birthday cake on our arrival. We would love to stay again one day.

We were very comfortable. Reception by Dalina was very friendly and helpful. The apartment has plenty of natural light and a great veranda with a braai. Everything we needed was provided. There was a good bed and pillows and plenty of warm blankets. It was a very stormy weekend, but we were nice and cuddly. The full DStv and internet are also great. Thank you again.
Breakaway combines African hospitality with modern technology and location. We were welcomed at the car and seen off by Dalene who took care of every need. The spacious unit is the best equipped I have ever seen (even with home baked goods) and it was lovely to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the sea.

Dalina went out of her way to be flexible regarding our arrival and departure times. The unit was clean, neat and ready for us. There was attention to detail and extra's to make us feel welcome and at home. The apartment is well situated with regards to access to the beach and within walking distance of some restaurants.
Breakaway is a beautiful place, even with a 2 year old granddaughter with us, we enjoyed every moment. The accommodation is clean and well looked after. Recommend it to everyone who wants to go and breathe in Yzerfontein.
