There are a few things that need to be worked on. The shower leaks water at the shower head. The toilet does not flush with the handle. The lid must be lifted and the toilet itself flushed. The key to the disc door had trouble going into the hole. I had to force it and was afraid the key would break.

"Not as expected."

The host did not have towels for guests and eventually, he supplied us with 3 towels saying that the accommodation was a B&B. Only supplied with 2 one-ply toilet rolls for the 6-night stay. The facilities had to be cleaned by us, the guests. We had to get our own liquid soap for washing the dishes. The swimming pool was not maintained properly. The shower did not function well although the shower head was substituted at our request. Some light fittings with no light bulbs or not working. The security light outside the unit was disturbing, all night long and switched on.

"With a few little things this would be 5 stars."

Good location, but the unit feels a bit like someone's backyard. Old shoes and clothes hang over Wendy houses. The unit itself is cute with good space for a family with little ones, but plates, knives and forks do not fit and the kitchen is not fully equipped. We had to use our own pans, kitchen scissors, etc. buy. The owners were friendly but could have communicated more about days they mow etc.

The photos on the website are very misleading. When we arrived there was no one there. We called the owner who told us to drive back and collect the keys from another person. After a lot of running around and lots of phone calls, we finally got the keys. The unit itself is very dirty and neglected. The sink in the kitchen was blocked, the sink in the bathroom had no water in the taps and the toilet didn't flush. There are no working exterior lights and the geyser was turned off. No one mentioned any of the bg to us and my husband had to try to determine where the geyser should be turned on and off with a flashlight. The kitchen is extremely poorly equipped and the plates, glasses, knives and forks are dirty and broken. There was only a broom left in the unit with a puddle of water in front of the door even though it wasn't raining at the time of our arrival. We determined the next day that the toilet pipe behind the unit was leaking and the water was pooling from there. The bathroom has no door. There is a water crisis on the South Coast, but again no one mentioned it to us. No provision was made for additional water and we had to buy water when the taps ran dry. The area around the pool is extremely neglected and dirty. We had to buy a bucket and a mop to clean up, as well as paper plates, glasses, knives and forks and a detached outdoor light. The only advantage of this unit is the location. It is beautiful with a sea view and a short walk to the rocks. Although we contacted the owner regarding the problems he did not answer us at all or make any attempt to do anything about it.

Welcome was good. The fact that we stayed so close to the beach was breathtaking. Could go for a walk on the beach every morning. The service is 100 out of 100. There was always someone on duty if we needed anything and no one hesitated to help. Our car broke down and had to be repaired. The owners really went the extra mile to take the pressure off our shoulders so we could relax on holiday. Without them, we would have focused all the time on repairing the car instead of our holiday The car was at the dealer and at the same time we were still able to enjoy our holiday and even more thanks to the wonderful service. We were even told to spend the last night on the house there due to the car that wasn't ready. They look after their guests very well. Anytime we would recommend anyone to visit there.

The only short comings was the shower which had very low pressure and there is no door to the bathroom for privacy. The view of the ocean is great as well as the beach. All the basic things are there in the venue to have a comfortable stay.

The unit we stayed in has a great view. If the owners install a bathroom door, supply a bigger fridge and ensure water supply by installing a JoJo tank due to municipal water supply problems the place is a fisherman's dream.

We had an awesome time! Service was friendly and efficient. We will be returning in December.

Take your own braai grill, as their's is too badly rusted. No Aircon but there are two fans. Unfortunately both fans do not work. Cleaner only came in on Friday, so clean on booking in, no cleaner for rest of stay. TV snowy to the point we couldn't use it. Pictures were of best apartment so ask for pictures of your unit before booking.

Not tastefully furnished at all ─ colorful bedding and curtains. Curtains and ceiling in shower are mouldy.

"Disappointing! Dirty and neglected."

Kitchen doors hang open, hinges don't work. Electrical connections scare you, open some. No bedroom door. Front and back door locks are broken. Garden was neglected and grass was long. The stove looks so bad, it has to be seen to be believed. In addition, there is a gas bottle next to it, which is not according to regulations. Coffee cups were dirty. The bedside table in front of the bed is broken and the bedside lamp does not work. Just a creepy place I want to warn others about. The pictures on the internet are very cleverly taken and misleading. I took pictures to back up my claims.

I had a wonderful stay at Breakers. For me it was the ideal getaway from my busy schedule. It was very relaxing. The beach was just a stones throw away and it was just peaceful.

I would suggest that the owners maintain the place better, i.e, keep the grass short, clean the sliding door, main gate was not working, door locks were broken/worn, state that only SABC and E-tv channels can be viewed so people can take their own smart cards.r Other then that we had a wonderful stay I would defnitely go back, the view was exceptional, very nice calm environment, refreshing, stimulating and a very nice family outing it was indeed.r r
