Very beautiful and delicious. Will go again. Unit 4 does not have a bathroom door, which I think they can change. One thinks from the photos that it is inside the bathroom. It is inconvenient. But the unit and everything else was top notch.
My stay at Breathe River Retreat. Wow, where do I begin. It is such a beautiful place and from the moment we got there, we could feel the peace and tranquility. It's just absolutely beautiful and has such a magical embrace to it. We are smitten and can't wait to return. The staff is so pleasant and friendly and accommodating. We didn't even want to return home; we felt we could have continued to stay. It's an absolute gem of a place. 10 out of 10 for us. Thank you so much.

It was a great pleasure to spend the night here! The location, cleanliness and luxury of the units exceeded expectations. My girlfriend and I especially enjoyed the barbecue by the river. Will definitely advise people to visit Breathe (just leave room for us too please).
The stay was fantastic, and this is my second time there. All that bothered was that the toilet didn't have a door, and we had to use the public toilet at the lapa because our friends stayed together in one unit. I note that the structure of the loft is not entirely safely designed and built. I suggest a structural engineer look into it. We were promised we could use the engine-driven boat and I specially brought my small booty board with me, but the boat wasn't there, which was a bit disappointing. I specifically asked about that.
It was very cozy even though we were sick. Our little girl really enjoyed it.
The beautiful view of the river was a bonus. Would maybe just recommend that there is a better welcome booklet or something that provides rules and WiFi information. We were not aware that the WiFi was available and had to call to find out where the password was. So a welcome pack always makes you feel more welcome. Maybe if it was personalized it would be even better.
The bathroom was very dirty, especially the toilet. It was very disgusting, honestly. The basin and mirror had toothpaste stains from the previous clients who occupied the room. There was no one to welcome us; we were just told our key is in the room. Therefore, no one could assist with the dirty bathroom. The cleaners are not friendly at all; they were sweeping around us while we got ready to go for our walk. They still did not clean the bathroom even after we told them about the state we found it in when we checked in. William was the only person who was friendly and assisted us. The place is beautiful, but it was hard to relax and enjoy the room because of the cleanliness issue.

Very neat and clean. For 4 people to share one bathroom without a door is unfortunately unacceptable in my reference and it is not mentioned in advance.
Inadequate kitchen and utensils. Drain problem at the shower and toilet. No information/welcome letter about institution or environment. Not mentioned that unit has 2 tall stairs inside the unit. This may be a problem for guests with disabilities. It's a really nice unit, but I feel it's a bit expensive for what the unit offers.
Clean! Relaxing! Lots of fish and fresh air!
We were here for our wedding anniversary. The accommodation is picture perfect and the units are stylish. The large green lawns in front of the units are baby soft to walk on and there was nothing nicer than lying on the grass and looking at the river. We are already planning our next visit here and have already told many people about the place. The worker who welcomed us was incredibly friendly - you can be very proud of the place and your workers.
A bit of a long dirt road, but the road was not bad. The accommodation is beautiful. I love all the areas, like the boma, the private braai areas and the swimming pool. The bed was not the most comfortable, unfortunately. Very peaceful and tranquil.

William was a star, what a pleasure to have him around always checking on us and making sure the ladies cleaned. Everyone was so pleasant. Accommodation was perfect for myself and husband he loved the fishing and had a fab time.
It's place was neat, very good value for money and the rooms are amazing.
There is no noise and the Vaal River's tranquility is just what one needs for a weekend break. The dirt road there, especially from the N1 is very bad. Please guess people to drive via Paris, the dirt road is still bad, but at least shorter. I thought the per night cost was somewhat on the high side.

Barbecue outside just inconveniently next to chalet. Have to climb steep stairs in the evening with poor lighting. William very helpful with anything.
There was not a king size bed in the room and it was described as such in the room booking, the rest was all very nice and clean and of excellent quality.
Staff are amazing and friendly. The facilities are amazing. Everything about this place shouts amazing. Amazing place. Large group with many kids- we were looked after so well. We had such a brilliant stay. Will be back!
Great location for family
The unit was very clean and very tidy and has everything you need for a nice weekend. The bed size and indoor grill were a pleasant surprise! The location of the lodge is perfect next to the river. We will definitely go again!
I thought I'd be able to settle my stay cost upon arrival via card payment. But it seemed there are no card payment facilities - so as it stands I still don't know how to settle my outstanding balance. This is my only question as also emailed to Dominique which she forwarded to the resort.
It is so beautiful there, nice and quiet. My husband likes to barbecue and it was particularly nice for him that he could just barbecue in the chalet or the option of being able to barbecue next to the river, will definitely go back.
Quiet and comfortable on the banks of the Vaal river. It was very nice.
