8 guests' feedbackThe weather was horrendous. It was extremely heavy rain and quite cold, but the views and natural beauty of the area didn't allow the weather to spoil the trip, just made it different.
Just slept the night.
A rough and ready wooden cabin on a smallholding in a reasonably picturesque setting. But filthy windows, dirty shower cubicle, sewerage-smelling loo, cobwebs, filthy freezer compartment and general unkemptness of the place, plus a gazillion flies, really detracted from any potential pleasantness. Yes, it was a record hot weekend, but with no fans, ice or drinking water provided (the water out the taps is salty) it was like overnighting in a fly-infested sauna. Oh, and the kettle didn't work either.
Couldn't get hold of any person for either number. Had to figure out for myself which house was ours. Place was not very clean. 2 big black dogs kept jumping over fence, and moving around house, we had to stay inside all the time. When I went out to open the gate, one rushed at me. Another person also up and down there who came to complain to us, thinking we were the owners.
Please stay away from this place! Just a few words to summarize: no reception, no indication of where to go, no one to receive you, no hot water for shower or kitchen (gas connection broken), not very clean. blinds in front room so moldy it makes you feel sick, curtain pole fell on us 2 times. Bed linen so old that the fitted sheet has been stretched and pulled up briefly so that you are lying on a bare mattress. Shower musty. One light shade broken and not replaced. Worst ban all, after this experience the owner was contacted directly to avoid a confrontation on this platform, but he thought it good to ignore us completely, even after a second email. In my book, this is the height of rudeness. Stay away from this place!
The place with furniture and crockery needs a revamp to justify price.
We were not welcomed. The house was dirty and full of dust inside, pillows and throw over couch were dirty, stove was dirty with egg yolks still stuck from previous use, faucet loose in bathroom, fridge and microwave dirty. Porch wet and dirty, shower inside musty and rusted through. Terrible dirt road to get there.
