Spacious bedrooms, a lovely large veranda with braai. View over Breede River and sea from most rooms. Table tennis table an absolute bonus. A peaceful environment. An experience for the soul.
The location is beautiful! Being able to see the river all the time is a bonus. It is a bit difficult with the kitchen upstairs and steep stairs for older people, but after we unpacked the latter was quickly forgotten. I am not sure that the accommodation can be advertised as accommodation for more than 8 people, as one has to walk through one room to get to another room (with three beds). The latter may be disadvantageous for strangers, but beneficial for a couple with smaller children (a family). In summary, however, a lovely holiday home that we would be happy to book again. The upper braai area is definitely an asset. We had a nice time.
Enough sleeping space. Enough bathrooms for everyone and toilets. Only toaster that worked 1 side that was faulty.
Beds in some rooms weak, as well as mattresses. Kitchen facilities are poor, short pots.
We were penalised for not recycling when there was no clear signage, no necessary bins provided, no clear communication. This was a totally unexpected and unacceptable penalty for not being properly informed. It's not about the money, but rather about the principle. We gave R500 breakage and only received R400 back. We never leave any place dirty and we placed all the dirt in a black bag. The grass was cut while we were there and the children were playing outside, the one toilet light was fixed the next day, the kitchen chair was faulty and my sister fell through it, the beds in the last two back rooms were terrible and hard and we couldn't sleep as the bedding was itchy. This was supposed to have been checked prior to check-in not during our stay.
Very neat, clean house with a beautiful view. We were only 2 people, but the house is ideal for a family or group of friends for a nice long sea holiday.
We had a lovely weekend for my mother's birthday. There is a lot of space and the kitchen is very well equipped! Lots of bathrooms too! Will go again for sure!

The house has beds for a group of 8 or less singles, as well as plenty of toilet facilities without having to share. Also good for one or two families who want to spend a weekend or holiday together. An indoor braai area would have been good, given that existing braai facilities are located on the first floor on the open balcony and the wind makes it very uncomfortable to braai there. There is a braai area on the ground level, but at the back of the house with no view of the beautiful estuary!
The house is lovely but needs a good cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere. For a house where 11 people can sleep, one roll of toilet paper in a bathroom is too little, as are the black bags for the kitchen. It must be included in the price.
Place has good location. The accommodation may need some renovation. There are not enough plates for 10 people. Three of the rooms' beds are quite tired. The place is recommended, but not if your standards are high.
We had an incredibly nice stay. There is everything one could need. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It is very close to the sea. We really enjoyed the table tennis! The DStv just didn't work (message was that the signal was too weak). I would book here again anytime! If you want to relax and get away from it all, book a place here!
We stayed in Breede View House for 10 days. We were only two people so we only used one part of the house. The house is located right next to the river with a very nice view of the pier and river. The main bedroom has a king-size bed that slept very comfortably. There are two restaurants and two shops on Witsand offering everything one needs. Witsand is a fishing paradise for any thoroughbred angler. We would love to go back again.
We were 5 adults with 5 small children (ages 2, 3, 6, 6 and 8 years old). Very comfortable house - 3 bathrooms more than enough for when different families visit together. Never felt that we were falling over each other's feet either - 2 living areas ideal so that children can at least hang out a little separately from adults. Barbecue on deck outside very nice and close to kitchen and living area. Would definitely want to stay there again! Pool table, table tennis table and card games were all great entertainment.
