It's not extremely modern, but has everything you need. The biggest advantage is the fantastic view. The lawn forms part of the Fisherman's Walk, so expect people to walk past it especially in the mornings and evenings. The only two changes we can recommend are to provide steak knives with the cutlery and to significantly increase the WiFi speed. Furthermore, we had a very nice stay.
A good value for money, fully self-catering stay that would work well for families, just looking for a home base to explore and enjoy the area. For couples looking for a romantic or slightly more luxurious stay, I would consider other options. The unit had all the basics but lacked any special touches to make one feel truly at home.
Stay was very nice and comfortable. The cleaning service was a plus and it was nice to come back to a clean home after the day's excursions.

We had a lovely time, convenient location to Garden Route activities and Knysna. Pity the complex doesn't have a pool. Beach access is difficult in Brenton.
We enjoyed our stay but there are a couple of things owners need to attend to. I would recommend a mop to be placed at the units or someone you can contact if you need it, considering there are no cleaning services over weekends. The bathroom shower in the main room is clogged, so when you take a shower, the water overflows. There is also no shower mat, which is a problem if you also don't have a mop. It was great being able to braai; however, there are no braai pans to place your meat in. The "non-stick" pans are no longer non-stick, so it's not pleasant making food in the equipment provided. The unit, for me, is beautiful; however, it is not well-maintained and equipped considering the area and what you pay.
Special views, close to the beach and perfect for if you just want to rest and close enough to other beaches and activities.

Beautiful view, quiet and peaceful area, close to Knysna to explore. Nice spacious rooms and neat and clean. Also very affordable for South Africans. Would definitely recommend Brenton Breakers.

Large, neat and clean accommodation with the most beautiful view. The private beach's route is only slightly unclear at one point and it can be dangerous to move up and down it. But we would definitely recommend the stay and can't wait to return one day for another visit. It exceeded our expectations for sure.

We could see whales jumping from the ocean view in the distance. Very beautiful. Place was a bit difficult to find on arrival.
Very modern set up with enough space, we were 2 adults with one 2 year old and it was the best decision because there was more than enough space for the little one to run around.

The accommodation is very well equipped and has a good location. Would prefer that the unit also be serviced over weekends, considering what is paid for the unit. It seems odd that beds are not provided with a top sheet (flat sheet).

The view took our breath away! The accommodation is first class, everything is neat and clean. Attention to detail, e.g. there were braai wood and blitz fire lighters. Before we arrived I received an email with a grocery list should you not be able to do your own shopping! Really 5 star service, would definitely stay there again!

The unit is comfortable, well equipped and nice and spacious. There was also a smart TV which was an unexpected luxury. Beach towels and hairdryer are provided which was very welcome.
We had a lovely stay. Older people have to drive to close to the beach - and it's not a swimming beach. For me it was a bit of a mission to drive to Knysna and back.

We had a great time at Brenton Breakers! The unit was perfect and spacious, we were able to watch the weekend's rugby and tennis and the views are breathtaking! We will definitely be back! Just two negatives: Unfortunately the power went out the 2nd night while we were still up (at about 12am) and only returned at 7am the next morning, so it would have been quite awkward if we had visitors as it was pitch black in darkness - perhaps some backup lighting is needed. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation for small children just due to being so close to the "cliffs" especially along the walkways as there is no fencing.

This was definitely one of the best holiday destinations to date! Everything is clean and neat. The decor, furniture and kitchen utensils are well planned and of good quality. The view is breathtaking and the seagulls and black oyster catchers flying past your house were very special. We will definitely be back in 2017 for another holiday at Brenton Breakers! (The only thing that is missing is an air-con. But other wise everything was perfect!)Thank you Marike and Andre for your hospitality!

Excellent accommodation, due to other responsibilities we were only able to stay two nights, definitely much too short. The view is incredible, no videos or pics could do justice to it. The chalet was clean and luxurious, and eqipped with everything you need. Recommend it to any individuals.

Brenton Breakers offers an unbeatable sea view in a peaceful setting. Walking distance to a long, beautiful beach. The units are very well and neatly furnished and even have an alarm in them for extra security. The covered porch is a bonus. Very clean. Large windows to see the sea. Laundry service included. Very friendly and helpful management. A suggestion is panel heaters or something similar for the cold winter nights. The Fisherman's Walk is a beautiful walkway that passes in front of the units. Brenton Breakers is highly recommended.
We traveled on from Brenton Breakers, and certainly did not find the value for money anywhere else as here. We will definitely stay here again, and bring friends and family.

Our stay was so nice that after a week we slept there again one night.
We stayed one night at the Brenton Breakers, but could easily have stayed longer. Everything was available in the cottage and the view over the ocean was stunning. It is a quiet place and perfect to catch your breath.

Brenton on Sea is an area that speaks to me because it is on a unique coastline. Very peaceful and not too far from the town with business facilities. It is an absolute vacation spot or rather a place where you can find rest for your soul at Brenton Breakers. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Available to satisfy her guests and make their visit a pleasure. This is the best value for money I have experienced in a long time.
We were looking for peace for our busy souls from Gauteng and found it there. Friendly people in breathtaking surroundings. Tastefully decorated unit and it was a privilege to stay there.
Enjoyed our stay and can't find something wrong with the service. The manager was very pleasant and helpful. There were just too little kitchenware to use, like salad bowls and containers with lids. Extra mugs and glasses would've come in handy.
An extremely neat unit with braai facilities. Excellently equipped for a short visit or long holiday. Away from busy Knysna, yet close enough if you need anything. Will definitely visit again!

We had a lovely time. Wonderful sea view. Every day we came back to a clean and tidy place. They are very friendly and helpful. Although not at the main beach, it is on the walking trail that takes you to a private beach. We will go again for sure.
