It's definitely a place to come back to, the full view of the Indian Ocean and the treatment was like we were the only customers, it was a royal treatment. The family rooms are out of this world, the safety is ten star.

Brenton on Rocks is a very beautiful place that has a wonderful view of the sea. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Would go back again any day. We were there just too short.
Small and few towels.
I cancelled a booking at wale coast all suits hotel in Hermanus for Brenton on the rocks in Knysna. There was no reminder that it was a honeymoon suite not even chocolate to welcome guest opening the door of the room. Just a plain room with a nice view as on the picture. It's 12 km from the Knysna Waterfront. I think that Wale Coast forth time that I've been there has given us a better welcome for their normal rooms.
Brenton on Sea is a small suburb, definitely worth visiting.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The view is breathtaking! You will have the same breathtaking view from the luxury rooms. Delicious breakfast! (For an additional fee). Even the small 'kitchen' in the room is very well equipped! Room and bathroom are spacious! Spacious cupboards and drawers. Oh, that's just fantastic. Especially for that price! It's really very good value for money! Honesty bar is also a convenient extra. Feel free to stay there! You will not regret it! You will definitely see me again!

Good breakfast options. It was nice to be able to enjoy breakfast at Brenton on the Rocks. Nicely presented. Atmosphere very comfortable.
Very quiet area and very nice sea view.
We stayed at Brenton on Rocks for 10 days. The view of the whole Brenton area is fantastic. At the price point of the unit we rented, a few things could be improved. All the cutlery, pans etc are very old and need to be replaced. We also had to ask for more glasses which I thought should not happen. I feel this is something that should always be watched. The unit was nicely kept clean and the staff is very professional. Any help needed was quickly given. The water quality is not very good - it is recommended to drink bottled water and not tap water. With final payment, unfortunately there was not even a "hope you had a nice stay and hope to see you again" comment. Just thanks and that's it - thought that wasn't good customer service, especially since we were there for so long. I also mentioned with the initial booking, we were coming for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it wasn't even mentioned - places that really want to go the extra mile for customers will remember such small details too. Overall we had a pretty nice stay but may consider another destination in the future. Unfortunately feel I didn't get full value for my money, the sea view is fantastic but doesn't make up for the other items I mentioned.
Happy with my stay. Rooms were clean, beautiful sea view. Except that the cleaner stained my new undergarment with cleaning detergent by mistake of course. When checking out I informed the guy and he was so adamant that their cleaners will never do that as they don't even touch the guests clothing. When I asked the cleaning lady in his presence, she admitted on moving it so she could clean. He didn't even have the decency to apologise. Oh, he even asked to see it as if I was lying. To see my undergarments for goodness sake. To think that the purpose of this information was for them to be careful, not for it to be replaced.

My husband and I went to Brenton on Rocks for our honeymoon. The manager of the guest house was very friendly and immediately made us feel comfortable and welcomed. We had a nice picnic which the guest house can do for you. We enjoyed sitting on our porch and visiting and had the most beautiful view. The stoep is not always comfortable when it rains, but otherwise we had a great time.

What a lovely place. It has the most beautiful view of the sea. Breathtaking sunset. Very clean, spacious, tidy and completely private units. What stands out is that we were able to park our rental car in a garage adjacent to our unit. The staff is professional and very nice. If I go to Knysna, I will definitely book with Brenton on Rocks again.

Very neat and clean! Beautiful finish in decor! A short distance from Knysna, only 2 restaurants nearby, if you are looking for something secluded and secluded, this is just the place for you! Nothing can describe the view! The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is too expensive. And not very big area to relax outside by the pool. Pool is small.
We had a warm welcome, our room was very tidy with a beautiful view of the sea. Every day we had cleaning services and there was everything in the room that could be needed. Had hot water any time of the day for bathing or showering, sometimes this is a problem at other places I've stayed.
Although cold and wet we found the week very peaceful and comfortable.
We went to bed cold because of thin bedding, no heater, no hot sheet, when we mentioned this to the hostess, she said they had to ''improvise'' on the bedding because we asked for 2 double beds. We were very warmly welcomed by the owner on Friday evening who went over breakfast arrangements with us and took us to our room. There was coffee/tea/sugar available in the room which is always a treat for me. Bathrooms were clean as well as rooms.

A nice place for a holiday. Everything on point. Friendly receptionist and what you see on the internet is exactly the same when you arrive at Brenton. Rooms neat, linen, cutlery and crockery, braai area. I will definitely without a doubt do a second return to the establishment. There is nothing that makes you complain about the place. Although we didn't eat there I am sure sure their food also would have satisfied us. Oh, and the steep road needs somebody with advanced driving skills, but anyway, they even assisted with their bakkie to tow our trailer. But all in all I will give the place 10 out of 10.

My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon suite, which is very well furnished and has a very modern, nice kitchen and a beautiful bathroom with a large shower and nice corner bath. Breakfast was delicious! Will go back for sure.

Friendly welcome, the most beautiful sea view. I feel the rate per day should include house keeping. For the first 2 days we didn't have a broom or mop in the house. With 2 boys it was quite a challenge and then to be told I have to give 24 hours notice if I want someone to sweep the house? We were then provided with a broom and mop after my enquiry. Some of the balcony rails were loose (top one) and some of the sliding doors could not close.

What a view- hardly believe there could be better. Although the room catered for our needs, I was quite disappointed with the kitchen unit as this has been advertised as self catering. Par for the microwave to heat something up, I am not sure how one would prepare a meal in this cramped space as one could hardly wash the dishes in the small basin provided. The beds were quite reasonable.
