41 guests' feedbackIt is a comfortable cottage with everything you need, and a very nice garden. The place is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. We had a nice stay, like last time. Unfortunately, it wasn't peaceful because Stanford has a problem with people sitting in their cars at night making noise and driving around for hours on end. We could barely sleep Friday and Saturday night and probably won't be staying in Stanford again.
My dogs and I had a great weekend in Stanford. You usually struggle to find places that are properly animal friendly. B's Cottage has everything one needs, and it is properly fenced for pets. The cottage and garden are beautiful, and you can't help but relax. A very friendly and helpful hostess. I highly recommend B's Cottage!
B's Cottage is a lovely heritage cottage located right on the village green, within walking distance of restaurants and shops and the village walking path. It is comfortable and cosy with many thoughtful touches. Bea and her friend, Pam, are great hosts, quick to help with advice and local knowledge.
The people of the village are friendly and we visited small towns in the area. Did a lot of other things too.
Lovely cottage with all the necessary amenities on the edge of the village green. It was central but not too central. The garden is well designed and in full bloom when we were staying there. We appreciated that they were dog friendly and it was great to have an enclosed garden where they could wander in and out. Stanford is a great town.
A great welcome to a small, very quaint cottage with a beautiful front garden. It was fairly cold during our 4-night stay, but the owners were most attentive and provided us with plenty of dry wood so that we stayed warm in front of a roaring fire each night. Thank you.
B's Cottage thinks of everything practical! I had biscuits and milk in the fridge. They provided power if needed, wood by the fireplace! The bathroom is practical, perhaps a bit outdated, but everything works. The most beautiful garden you can look out while using their internet for work.
B's Cottage is the most beautiful thatched cottage, well equipped with everything needed. In addition, Stanford is a beautiful town, and our hostess made doubly sure that everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. The weekend was a lovely break.
If you want a great couples weekend away with walking trails and friendly residents, then don't hesitate to stay at B's Cottage.
Anice's little cottage should be aired a little more before guests arrive to get rid of the musty smell. Otherwise perfect.
Stanford is a small town, everything is within walking distance, but the cottage is in a great location neither too close nor too far from the centre. The Garden was well-laid out. The hosts allowed pets so we were able to bring our dogs.

Our first impression was the feeling of arriving to a home away from home. So beautiful, cozy, colourful and quaint. Flowers everywhere, a manicured garden, everything in its perfect place. There were small touches of love and care all over. The fresh flowers on the table picked from the garden especially! We were greeted by such a friendly host which made everything that much more exciting. Our favourite part was the fireplace in the lounge. It was just lovely! We went out to dinner around the corner at Searles - loved it! But honestly couldn't wait to get back home to the fireplace with a glass of red wine. We heard loud music coming from a nearby house we think, but we played our own soft music which drowned it out completely. We enjoyed the cottage so much that we ended up talking by the fire all night and sleeping through our alarms (the bed is so comfy with an electric blanket) and missed our shark cage diving the next day. Oops! Luckily they said we could go another time. We would 100% recommend B's cottage and can't wait to come back. We also saw a little garden outside for pets, nice and enclosed. Also a lovely outside braai area. We didn't use this area though but will definitely next time.
B's Cottage is a real getaway - away from it all, peaceful, very tidy, with great service from the owners. The WiFi (which is important to us) works great. The braai place is nice and sheltered, the fireplace in the living room is lovely. The garden is a loop court. We felt safe and received a friendly and warm welcome. Thank you very much!
Comfortable cottage, very central to everything in town.
The cottage was well equipped with all the required appliances to make your stay an enjoyable one. The close proximity to the village also made it extremely convenient for shopping and access to the walking trails.
The house is bigger than it looks in the photos and is very "charming" and neat. The garden is beautiful and perfect for lazy evenings under the trees in the summer - the house itself is also surprisingly cool in the summer. It has everything you need for a weekend break and is very central.
It was a very cold weekend, but the fireplace was wonderfully warm. Beautiful garden.

B's Cottage is a wonderful winter getaway. The cottage has everything you'd need, is centrally located in Stanford and has a beautiful garden. However, we struggled to sleep both nights. On the last Friday of every month Stanford has a night market, which takes place right across the road on the village green. The cottage is also unfortunately located in that it is within hearing distance of the local settlement. We went to bed with the sound of big parties and loud music. Surprisingly, we could also hear the main R45 road quite clearly from the bedroom. Stanford was beautiful, especially the river walk.
The cottage was nice, it's a bit dated, but has everything you need, and great that it was fenced in for my dog. The shower head needs replacing as it just sprays all over the place. The wind created a lot of dust and insects upstairs which came through the thatch, which made it unpleasant to sleep. I didn't enjoy the thatch, especially in the small space upstairs.
What a quaint little cottage with a most beautiful garden. We had a delightful time. The cottage is extremely neat, and well equipped with all necessities. Location is superb and in walking distance of all attractions. My first visit to Stanford and I was pleasantly impressed. I would certainly opt for no other accommodation but B's.

Really enjoyed our stay and exploring Stanford. The cottage was quaint and well equipped even with brochures about the village. Loved the Wandelpad and the restaurants, especially the Italian restaurant. We will be back.
We went on a motorcycle trip and turned up with our clothes just like that. The kitchen had everything we needed to have a great barbecue. We could not walk to the store and buy dinner. Very centrally located and it was very clean and cute.
We had a great time and it's so convenient that Stanford is so dog friendly. Phantom pretty much enjoyed all the hiking trails. The town's gardens were still a sight to behold in mid-November.

This is our third visit to B's Cottage. The cottage is perfect for 2 people and the nice big garden is a pleasure for the dog children. Everything in McGregor within walking distance and the cottage has everything one could possibly need.
We had a wonderful stay in B's Cottage, with more than adequate facilities for self-catering. We could walk to the shops, places to eat and even the boat ride on Eersterivier.
