Overlooking the buffalo camp, the spacious house comprises 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, a lounge, and an entertainment area. The main bedroom is furnished with king-size bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second room is furnished with a queen-size bed, and has a shower en suite.
Three of the bedrooms are each contain 2 single beds, and share the use of a bathroom with a bath, and a shower. For convenience, linen and towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Please note guests need to bring their own herbs and spices, coffee, sugar, tea, milk and other groceries. Dishes can be done daily on request at an additional cost.
The living area opens onto a deck with a gas braai as well as a fire pit, and has lovely views of the surrounds. Guests can cool down in the swimming pool or relax on the lawn and enjoy the views. Buffalo House @ Bankenkloof Private Game Reserve is a non-smoking establishment, and unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated.

2 guests' feedbackOur weekend was supposed to be a sleepover with family who came to visit from the Cape and a cozy braai on Saturday with family in the surrounding area. We communicated our plans promptly the first day after the booking was confirmed and we received no email back of any objections. On Friday, WhatsApps were sent back and forth again, where it was made clear that it was actually a problem. We proposed to cancel it instead, the owner confirmed we are sticking to the arrangements. On arrival we were informed that someone would come to "check in" at 19h00 - it was clearly a "head count". We felt very unwelcome on arrival and decided to cancel everything and maybe meet for brunch in the city. On Saturday evening we held a small braai as the people had to sleep there, around 18h00 someone did come around to take a quick "head count". We also decided to go home before 21h00 and unfortunately, our family from the Cape had to stay alone on the last night. We were treated like teenagers out to ruin someone's place! We would not recommend the place to anyone just because of how we were treated. The place itself has so much potential for family holidays but it is clear that the owners only want to cater for a bunch of hunters.
