Very disappointing. Places have a lot of potential. Very neglected outside. Godryne in room hangs on mercy and hangs on just a few heels on rail, could not pull properly and is too long and hangs in a heap on the ground and is really not clean. Room window does not close completely. Visit table and chairs outside very dirty and neglected, full of dust, oil stains and feeling foggy. One flower bowl with weeds begging for some water. Bedding stained. Room just creepy and not a nice atmosphere. Closet door that stays open and bent wire hangers. Bathroom comfortable and water was nice and hot.
Place was not clean and had a strange smell. Kettle dirty could not boil water.
There was quite a lot of noise Saturday night from other residents. Loud music and shouting. Problem with gate access on arrival and departure.
Good but no hot water.

As we are farmers ourselves, it was pleasant to spend the night there. Away from the din of city noises.
It was the second time at the sleepover and very satisfied. Will recommend.
I enjoyed my stay. The only downside was the 1.5 kms drive on gravel leading to the accommodation's entrance. The gravel road is not bad, it's the rainy weather that made it extra difficult to drive there.

Spacious, all basic amenities in place and working. Needs breakfast bowls, some dish liquid and sponge. Shower head makes for a bit of a sparse spray, and the large bathroom feels a bit cold. Gas geyser and cooking facilities. Check matches in place. Two units only back to back so less disturbance from other guests. No reception, but once help found, very friendly and accommodating. Dirt road onto property not bad. All in all a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. Will definitely make this my go-to for future visits!
Hosts were charming and accommodating, however accommodation not so charming and terrain not suitable for elderly people who are not stable on their feet.
The whole place needs TLC, especially the bathroom ceilings. The towel rail also only hangs on 2 screws that are almost completely out as well, the rest of the screws aren't even there to hold the rail in place. Definitely not my type of place. The hanging cabinet in the room's handles are halfway down, there is a hole in the front of one door. The mirror cabinet's chair is an ordinary wooden chair with the armrest cut off. The evidence is still there. My car had to be parked quite a distance from the cottage under a storage roof along with other farm implements and another old car that was on stilts. We felt like we were staying in someone's backyard. I will not stay there again. I'm not a picky person, but when you pay you expect something better. For the price I didn't expect something fancy, it could be simple, but at least everything whole and neat and tasty. You also cannot park close to the overnight place to pick up and drop off. What the description said and photos is not what we had there.
We were welcomed very kindly. Everything we needed was in the cottage. Beautiful decor. We enjoyed the tranquility of the farm. There is plenty of play space for small children. Thank you very much for the wonderful service and your kindness. We would recommend it to any family.

We did not actually stay over on our return trip back from the Kruger due to the unrest that started up in the country, but I give this review based on the night we spent going up to Kruger. We were very happy with the accommodation and the owners were very happy to help with requests for braai's etc. that we had. Well worth the money they ask.
People were friendly and we had a comfortable stay.
The hosts were extremely friendly and did their best to fulfill all our requirements. I would definitely use them as a stay over again. The only negative is that the stove in our cottage needs new hinges on the door but apart from that no complaints. It is on a farm so don't expect 5-star accommodation.
This is a great place to stay if you want the real farm adventure. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. My only thing was it has loads of spider webs in the house. But other than that I loved my stay and will definitely be coming back.

This is a typical working farm, so not for the faint hearted! Had a bit of a problem getting warm water, but overall quite nice.

Pictures are misleading, the place did not look like pictures at all. Very dusty and dirty. Bedding on the one single bed (photos show double bed) was dirty and upside down on bed that it cannot be seen. Dishcloth was dirty. No cleaners showed up despite being advertised as such. Firewood was offered, never delivered. The place has good potential, but then it needs to be managed properly. 2 other couples arrived at exactly the same time as us. They had to wait a very long time to get into their reserved place, as excess stuff had to be carried out first. They were also not very impressed with the place to stay. It was truly a waste of money. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's what we experienced. I'm not a critical person, but I found this creepy.
From a brusque, unfriendly welcome to the smokey and mouldy smell in the accommodation itself, it is definitely not recommended as a place to stay. It was very disappointing as we looked forward to a peaceful, farm-style stay. The location is lovely and the dogs are very friendly but the accommodation needs a serious upgrade and clean. A little attention to detail would have made a difference.
In many years that I have been using the website, this was the first time that the accommodation and what was indicated on the website did not match. I was very disappointed in the accommodation. It was extremely dirty. The towels smelled of sweat, the faucets leaked, the shower door wouldn't close, the dishes were dusty and oily. The dishcloths that are there are really greasy and dirty. Nothing in the kitchen looks like it has been set up for guests. The breakware is not from one set and the knifeware has been put together from all over. The fridge was not cold and took a very long time to get cold. When we arrived there was water in the bottom of the fridge. We were able to last one night and immediately looked for another place to stay in the morning. The lady who received us was pleasant but it doesn't make up for the lie that was sold on the website about what the accommodation looks like. The reimbursement of our accommodation costs was indeed received, but the inconvenience of looking for accommodation over an Easter weekend as well as the bad experience and the impact on our other activities, is not fixed with money. Holidays and breaks are a luxury in the times we live in. It's a shame that such an experience has to detract from the pampering we allow ourselves. I would not recommend anyone here.

It was really hot though, so we barely could fish.
It can be a fantastic place. We were received very kindly, well rested after a long day and even though it was on a farm we felt safe. But there are some things that bother. The shower's glass panels were dirty (stained), behind is a very nice private patio but the grass was long and there were cigarette butts everywhere. Know it's on a farm and there must be dust but 2 mats in front of the beds will make a big difference. There are coffee and tea making facilities but no milk. There is a bed lamp next to the bed but could not use it because it has a two-prong plug and no two-prong plug available in the wall.
For the price it is worth it.

Our stay was pleasant with covered parking quite close to the rooms. The rooms are well equipped with everything needed. Unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned properly. Very dusty. The bathroom is very comfortable and big enough but needs serious maintenance and painting on the ceiling. It didn't create a good impression at all with paint peeling everywhere. The bedroom is nice and big and the bed very comfortable. Here the curtain was an eyesore. Too long and not hung properly. The cement table and benches outside are very handy, but we could hardly use them during the day. It should come under cover for protection from sun and rain. Despite all the negative comments, we still had a nice stay and the host is very helpful.

The place is just 10 km from Newcastle town, 3 km from a garage with a hotel should there be a need for meals. Just 2 km from the highway. It's very easy to find if you just follow the easy instructions. Lovely couple and very comfortable. Rooms are excellently set for privacy and comfort. All round excellent.

The hostess accommodated our autistic son in our room and was super friendly and hospitable. The facilities were more than sufficient considering what we needed. It was just such a pity that the room and bathroom and kitchen hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. The linen was fresh but the shower caddy had soap caked to it, the floors were sticky and everything was covered in a layer of dust and grime.
