Buffalo Thorn Lodge is a luxury private lodge is rented out exclusively sleeping 10 guests. The establishment is located in the Black Rhino Game Reserve, which is 30 km from Sun City in the heart of the North West Province in South Africa. It is in an exquisite big 5, malaria-free area, abundant in all wildlife. The perfect getaway for big families or groups that do not want to be disturbed by other guests. The lodge is self-catering luxury in the bush.

The lodge is a luxury, fully serviced lodge that sleeps only 10 people in 5 full en-suite bedrooms with king-sized beds. With a private game ranger and game drive vehicle, enjoy the lap of luxury. It features 5 separate chalets of which 2 come with loft rooms - outdoor showers - bar fridges and sun decks.

The central area includes a fully equipped kitchen, reading lounge, TV with DStv, pool table, gym, boma and braai area, hide, deck with swimming pool and outdoor Jacuzzi. The lodge opens up onto a boma for having evening fires under the peaceful African sky then onto an outside eating area and bar. While being in the heart of the wildlife, the lodge is secured with a perimeter electrified fence so your safety is ensured.

Black Rhino Game Reserve is 1800 hectares and is connected to the well-renowned Pilanesberg Nature Reserve with full access to the 55 000 hectares. The lodge is a mere 2 hours and 45 minutes from Johannesburg. Buffalo Thorn Lodge is self-catering and shops are located at Sun City - a short drive away.

Enjoy game drives during the day as a Game Ranger and vehicle are at your disposal or relax in the refreshing pool and Jacuzzi as you watch the sun go down.

Outside activities like hot air ballooning, archery and quad biking are not included and can be arranged at Sun City. All food and beverages are excluded. However, tea, coffee and sugar are provided in the main kitchen area as well as in the rooms.
