I had to spend the night for sports. The reception was friendly and I immediately felt at home. The breakfast staff were very friendly. The room was neat, clean and everything was there. Very pretty. Will definitely stay there again and recommend it.
Bullers Rest Lodge was a pleasant experience. Service was friendly and professional. The place was a revelation with antiques and history on display in the bar as well as books in the lounge. It is the perfect place to stay to combine with a visit to the battlefields in the area.

Fantastic setting with great service and hospitality.
Very good, neat accommodation, owner is very hands on and looks after your interests, also very informative. Accommodation very central with beautiful view over parts of Ladysmith and central Drakensburg. Farmstyle breakfast and a lovely braai area also available, I would really recommend this to all for a quick stay-over.
We will definitely book here again, reception was very friendly with us, as well as with our two 4 legged children. Our animal children really enjoyed it, they were welcome to play on the grass after a long drive, on the way to Ballito. Room was also neat and very comfortable.

Very neat place with friendly reception and delicious breakfast. We had a very nice stay. The rooms were neat and well-equipped with warm electric blankets and heaters against the walls. The owner also trusted us to help ourselves in the historic bar and write up what you use and pay for it when you leave. I would recommend it to everyone to stay there.
The photos of Bullers Rest Lodge do not fully capture the splendor and atmosphere of this rest stop on the road between Johannesburg and the South Coast. The hospitality and warmth with which we were received immediately made us relax and feel at home. We had dinner and breakfast here, and both meals were simple but incredibly tasty. Will definitely return, and highly recommend Bullers Rest.
We were warmly received and taken to our room. A luxurious room, tastefully furnished, with the most beautiful view of the surrounding area. As one of us had to leave very early, the managers offered to pack a lunch instead of the breakfast. The sandwiches, fresh grapes and fruit juice were deliciously fresh and tasty. I would love to visit Bullers Rest Lodge again.

Fantastic reception. Manager is very helpful and was very hospitable. You can see he likes his work. The rooms were very neat and the bed provided a very good night's sleep. Will definitely stay there again.
Calm atmosphere. Although the guest house is quite old, it was clean and tidy. By taking some maintenance actions it can be back to where it used to be.
Friendly reception with a very well located house and peaceful surroundings and we enjoyed it. We were able to walk around the area a bit without fear.

The lodge has a good location with nice views and is in a good, clean and well maintained condition. The rooms are spacious and have everything one needs. The staff were always friendly and willing to go the extra mile and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stop here again and can definitely recommend it.
Upon our arrival we were kindly welcomed and shown around the premises. Lovely relaxing by the pool which was very close to our cottage. Great air conditioning which was essential in the bloody heat. On our departure we enjoyed a quick breakfast. The kitchen staff were very friendly and made us feel at ease.

Everything you look for in a guest house - safe, tidy, great beds, clean and comfortable. We had to drive very early the next morning and Paul offered to provide us with sandwiches and juice for the road - a small gesture that meant a lot to us. If we ever needed accommodation in Ladysmith again, I would definitely stay at Buller's Rest again.

I chose Buller's Rest from the internet and was a bit apprehensive about what we would find. I really need not have been concerned. The owner was very helpful about places to visit. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. For a short stay it was ideal. Out of town and behind a security gate we felt safe. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge in the room. I would stay there again.
The high location in the town is very good and the lodge therefore has a lovely view. It was peaceful and quiet and the bedding and room were fresh and pleasant. The owner was very helpful and the service excellent.
Picturesquely located, old world and peaceful. The pub with its historical items lends itself to the historic setting and Buller's Rest Lodge is also equipped to handle large groups. Red-headed woodpeckers and pigeons wake you up in the morning and otherwise there is no noise, because it is located on the edge of town. Digby (walking distance) is a country club with a delightful golf course.
