Bushbabies Lodge is situated on the North Eastern side of the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, away from traffic, music, lights and the hustle-and-bustle of busy city life. A beautiful shaded lawn area in lush green gardens is the centerpiece of the magnificent lodge for all our guests to enjoy.
The lodge boasts a variety of self-catering accommodation options to choose from. The luxury chalets include a family unit, honeymoon suite and all-rounder couples unit. Every unit has its own private boma. The secluded honeymoon suite has a heated splash pool and is situated on the Big 5 fence-line.
The lodge also has tented camp sites consisting of dome tents with double or single beds, or an adventurous roof-top tent on 2 camping sites which is a favourite among young explorers. The tented camps are fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, a bar fridge, linen and towels and each has its own private ablution and boma.
Spacious caravan sites are also available and each have their own private ablution and boma and are shaded, with electrical and water connections.
Certain meals can be prepared upon request for all accommodation units, at an additional fee. Catered conferencing facilities are available.
An inviting communal swimming pool area, which includes a lapa with a view of the waterhole where wild animals gather and shaded braai island, is an extension of the friendly family atmosphere and can be enjoyed by all guests. An honesty-bar tuck shop is a popular attraction so be sure to visit this shop at the lapa area for that sudden snack attack. Firewood, bottled water, ice and firelighters are available from reception.

Delicious, peaceful and breathtaking! Bushbabies is conveniently located in Dinokeng Lodge, and it's peaceful. The Slide restaurant was walking distance from our chalet and the food is delicious. There is enough play space for the children. In the evenings you can clearly hear the animals and it's just peace for your soul. It's probably our favorite place to stay from now on. We will definitely stay there again.

The lodge is well maintained. We stayed in the tented camp. It had everything we needed. We loved the treat station and the new restaurant is great. It exceeded our expectations.

Was a great trip. Stayed in the tented camp 1 - beautiful location, watched giraffe and rhino come to the water hole. The camp has everything you need and they have just opened a deli and gin bar just next to it which was lovely.

The name of the Lodge is very apt. We had nightly visits from the bushbabies at our delightful tented camp, which was directly opposite a watering hole, where we saw rhinos on the very first day. The guided game drives also ensured that we spotted a lot of game and learned so much about the environment. Although we did not see lions we definitely heard them. All participants of the guided bushwalk could not give the wildly unique experience enough compliments. From our amazingly hospitable and helpful hosts and their staff to all the exciting and perfectly executed activities the lodge offers in such a stunning setting, we can absolutely not find fault with a single thing during our 5 days there. The teens massively enjoyed the individual potjie evening which was presented with such care by Bushbabies, and Sunday lunch at Arlington Cidery was delicious too. Highly highly recommend the 30min microlight flight with our skilled cool pilot Johan, as well as the relaxing hands of Shelly's mobile spa crew who arrives and revives. Brilliantly we now have a bunch of teen city boys constantly enthusing about the bush and all its fauna and flora and wild adventures and the wonders of nature. Truly an enriching and character-building, educational and refreshing experience. We loved it, thank you so very much Bushbabies Lodge Dinokeng!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary. We were very well received. The entire layout of Bushbabies Lodge is very nicely laid out. Will definitely recommend them.
The hosts have the balance right when it comes to interacting with guests. If you are not looking for them, they don't bother you, but if you need something, they are there in a flash.
Enjoyed the scenery. Game is plentiful and the field is grass green. Absolutely relaxing.

The accommodation is nice, just a pity the breaking deposit you pay. Having trouble getting any answers back. Already emailed and called. Would only recommend other people to immediately ask the resort people to come and look at the crockery to eliminate all the hassle.

We really enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, it's a self-catering unit, with everything! It has a fully equipped kitchen. You don't have to take anything, just your food. Just the road towards the lodge was terrible.
It would have been nicer if we could have used the pool as well. There was a party where most people were together, so we didn't want to intrude or it was too full. So we just stayed with our part most of the time.
Child safe, great playground, able to attract animals close to camp, lots of shade, great services even after hours.
No dogs should be allowed in Dinokeng. Hearing dogs barking at night interferes with the experience, of being in nature and the bush.
Chalet was not very clean. When requesting it to be cleaned I was charged for it. They advertise that they have WiFi, but there is none, no service provider signal either. Mini convection oven is too high to be able to cook on the counter and plates do not switch off (very dangerous for children). Shower taps needed replacement as hot water kept opening - but this was done while we were there so at least got done. Not enough towels for a 6-sleeper and not enough kitchen space.
I can't find any fault. Everything was so neat. What an experience. Will go there again.
We loved the fact that Bushbabies Lodge is situated within Dinokeng and the fact that it is a big 5 game reserve is the cherry on the cake.
Chalet was clean, tidy and fully equipped. Surroundings are also neat and it was peaceful in the resort. Friendly welcome and we were very well informed about the game reserve.
We had a very nice peaceful weekend. Very friendly welcome upon our arrival. Nice green lawn for small children to play outside. The nights were for sure a unique experience for the children to be able to see so close. Looking forward to our next visit to Bushbabies!
