The Meerenbosch estate also offers a communal swimming pool, a clubhouse, tennis courts and table tennis. It is set by the Bot River Lagoon, with a private path for access, and this hidden gem brings you to nature's doorstep. Look out for the roaming wild horses and a variety of bird life.

Stay was very relaxing. Beautiful scenery.
We had the most peaceful, wonderful and tranquil holiday. The owners thought of everything, and it was a home away from home.
It's a lovely, cozy and rustic cabin with all the basic amenities provided for and then some. Instructions for using things in the cabin are very clear and concise. We had no problems and hope to be back soon.
Suitable getaway in the Overberg.
The stay was very peaceful, the beach and lagoon were clean and have a beautiful natural beauty. It is definitely a must go. The bed sleeps like a dream, but the decor needs some love, inside and out.
BushBaby met our personal needs. We wanted to break away and catch up after a challenging few months. We could rest, drink in the tranquility and enjoy the raw nature.
We had a wonderful restful time with incredible weather. The cabin was well-equipped and comfortable. A recommendation would be to have some larger bowls for cereal/seafood/pasta. The gas flame was a bit low, so boiling water took quite a while. The stairs and one railing off the deck need a bit of work to make one feel a bit safer using them. A bit of WiFi would be nice for uploading holiday pics, etc. But saying this, we had a wonderful time and would love to return.

Very peaceful at the cabin. I could sleep like a log. Gas geyser means hot showers at any time during load shedding. Thank you to Francois and Ingrid, the owners, who were always just a message away.
Loved the trees surrounding the cabin. The birds sounds in the morning so beautiful. Great getaway for two.
The cabin is also near the lagoon which made it so much better.
The lagoon and nearby beach are the attractions here. The wooden cabins and houses are close to one another. The resort could be quite noisy if full to capacity. Midweek out of season it was delightfully quiet. Not 5-star luxury, but wonderfully comfortable and all you need for a beach break. Thanks to the hosts for checking we arrived ok!
Had a nice stay over the weekend. The house is equipped with everything you need to live comfortably. Just note that the nearest shop is a short drive away. Friendly customer service from the owners.

The house has everything you need. The fire place is a little smaller than expected though and you can only fit about 3 pieces of wood on it.
Quiet, beautiful, and peaceful.

House rules
Braai equipment:- If you’re planning to braai, the braai equipment is stored in a black crate on the left-hand side of the outside storage box. The padlock key is part of the set of keys in the lockbox.
- Please bring your own firewood.
- Please don’t leave any fires unattended. Especially since we are situated in a bush.
Inside fireplace:
- You’re welcome to use the inside fireplace if cold. Please bring your own firewood.
- The fireplace is very effective, please do not make an extensive fire (max 5 pieces of wood at a time). Don’t leave the fire unattended, though, and please ensure sufficient ventilation.
- Please place the fire screen in front of the opening at night.
The bush:
- We share the bush with all kinds of critters. There is a good chance of you spotting some spiders and geckos. Stay on the foot paths, though, as there can be snakes.
Swimming:
- The communal pool and lagoon can be enjoyed for swimming. However, the sea is not suitable for swimming due to strong currents.
Gas geyser and gas stove:
- The gas geyser and gas stove are loadshedding-proof. Please ensure the gas is turned off when not in use.
