The house is well located and close to the exit for people who want to drive to the game park. It lacks braai facilities, but has a small kitchen if you want to quickly whip up something for dinner. It is close to places to eat and a swimming area for children. The security is very helpful with picking up and dropping off keys, as well as with information about Marloth Park.
Arrangements clearly laid out and everything went as planned. Cottage equipped for two. Keep in mind that access to cottage is via a short set of stairs. May be problematic for some people and wheelchair access. Group of warthogs sleeping under house is a bonus.
Only problem was the fridge doesn't make cold.
Can do something about the front door. Of course, garbage disposal is the owner's responsibility.

The sheets and towels are paper thin. I asked for an extra single bed, it wasn't there. Bushbaby needs attention. It is not good value for money.
Huisie is very original and unique, but feels more like you're sleeping in someone else's house - it doesn't have a guest house feel. Cupboards are messy inside and the whole unit needs renovation. Water temperature is difficult to regulate. I would also recommend new bedding.
It's the friendliest place we've ever holidayed, and the animals stole our hearts as I said we're looking to buy a house there.
It's fantastic to sit on your porch. The animals walk past there and in the evening the night owls come to visit. Wonderful.
Would recommend and would really like to go again for a weekend getaway.
We had a wonderful 2 weeks' stay. The owner, Brent, was very helpful in replying to any questions we had. It is a nice location and we heard all the animal sounds from the Kruger Park: lions, hippos, fish eagles and hyena calls.
The unit needs a lot of attention and renovation. It rained when we stayed there one night on our way to Kruger Wildlife Park. Thatched roof leaks in living room / living area and also on porch. Kitchen cabinet door fell in two when my wife opened it. Stairs very original but dangerous when wet. Cutlery / plates etc. not as desired. Folding camping chairs broken and long past their useful life. Chairs in living area very impractical! Safety definitely not up to standard. There was a power outage all night from early evening and the alarm system's battery quickly died and the alarm was therefore of no use. Must be replaced. Sorry but I cannot recommend Bushbaby Haven.
Quiet area and animals galore!
Upon arrival we struggled a bit with a broken key and it was so frustrating that we couldn't check in the first day, but the owner gave us use of the house next door. Otherwise, the stay was lovely. Wish we could stay longer. We will definitely go back.
Had a lot of fun there, could hear the lions roaring one night.
Everything you need for a short break. Good communication from the owner. The animals come to visit while you are grilling and the night owls too. We were lucky to get elephants and lions up against the wire. We could hear the lions roaring all night.

We thoroughly enjoyed the three nights. The night owls came to visit every night. The log cabin on stilts was everything we could have asked for. Highly recommended!
We discovered a wonderful place at Bushbaby Haven, it's quiet, clean and ideal for a weekend getaway if you want to get away from the city. There is everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and even got board games along with playing cards on the coffee table. The nightcaps provide good entertainment, just remember the banana, they love it a lot! Thanks for a nice place, coffee on the patio is just what a weekend like this needs!
Was so nice to relax and just watch how the bush babies come and fetch the banana's and eat it.
Nice and high between the trees, lots of goats, pigs and bush babies turning and visiting. Plekkie is beautiful and just right for 2 people who want to find or encourage love again.
It's a peaceful place. The bushbabies on the patio at night was very cute. You see various types of bucks if you put out the forage you can buy at the supermarket. Will go there again.
We enjoyed Bushbaby Haven very much. We were entertained by the bush babies each night and with Zebra, Kudu, Bushbuck and so the list goes on. We would go again.
No grill, no microwave. Can't shower, it's poorly set, if cold water is turned on, hot water kills flame. Cockroaches are everywhere, running over the bed too.
