Bushbuck Camp is a nature lover’s retreat with birds and bushbuck coming down to the water's edge to drink. Nestled among the milkwood trees, the bush tent sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The tent comprises of the main room with a double bed and a smaller room with a bunk bed. The adjoining bathroom consists of a toilet and a shower. The kitchen contains a fridge-freezer, 2-plate gas stove, kettle, toaster as well as a microwave, and an outside braai area is available on the deck, next to the kitchen.
Situated on a remote lake, which guests will mostly have to themselves, guests can take out the paddleboat or pack a lunch and take the canoes to explore the 2 river systems, while keeping an eye out for the Knysna Loerie and other birds. From the deck, guests can drink a toast to the sun setting over the mountains. The camp is the ideal spot to take a deep breath, and let the beauty of the surroundings settle over you.
The river mouth in Sedgefield is a stunning place to enjoy the beauty of the lagoon meeting the sea, and a walk around the island is a must. On Saturday mornings, the Farmers Market offers a variety of authentic home-crafted goods and a special farmer’s breakfast. Other activities nearby include scenic paragliding by Cloud Nine and guests can enjoy safe swimming, surfing, and lovely walks at Gerickes Point. Myoli Beach is a short drive away and is fast becoming a widely recognized kite-surfing spot.

So much to do: watch birds, swim, canoe, fish, cycle, braai, laze the days away. A Fish Eagle pair calls frequently, the days are mild with gentle weather. All in all, a superb place to visit if you want peace and quiet.

We can really recommend Bushbuck Camp. The tent is spacious and has everything one needs. It's as if you are sleeping in your own forest and after just a short walk along a beautiful wooden path you are at your own swimming spot. We paddled and pedaled and swam to our heart's content, bird watching and wishing we could enjoy this view every day. The owners are very helpful and we especially thoroughly enjoyed Knud Jacobson's chats and bonus trip on the lake. We will definitely go again.

We were pleasantly surprised when we realized we were the only guests there and had everything to ourselves. Unbelievably beautiful nature and peaceful. Accommodation is spacious and all facilities are clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. We will visit again. The double bed's mattress and all pillows just need attention.
We loved our holiday and will be back. We stayed for 3 nights but next time we will stay longer! The bird life is incredible. The paddle boat was a hit with the kids and we were also treated to a beautiful boat ride up the lake with Natalie's father in law. Had a wonderful time!
Perfect for a family that likes space and quiet. You can camp without putting up a tent. You have your own kitchen and shower. Beautiful with friendly hosts.
The information regarding the accommodation does not mention that the place is in the bush and that you would need to travel for at least 20km to actually get to your destination. We were running late as they expected us to be at the location before 17h00 and the lady was extremely rude to myself and my husband on the phone. Not only was it my birthday that day and we were trying to enjoy the day, but it was raining and the roads were muddy and unsafe, yet the person we were suppose to follow to our destination was driving fast and we had to try and keep up. The spiders in tent and a little bottle of doom that would do nothing to kill them. No towels and no mention that we needed to bring our own, yet in the photos it displays towels available. Not a place I will recommend nor will I be booking there again. What should of been a very nice experience turned out to be a very horrible experience
