The owner of Bushbuck Lodge is a hospitable and informative host. Her self-catering unit is comfortably appointed and conveniently located and we enjoyed our brief stay in Southbroom.
The place is beautiful, really enjoyed it, they also give you all the information of the area that one needs. Was really worth it.
Tranquil and peaceful surroundings. Friendly owners. The accommodation was perfect for us, clean and tidy on arrival. I'll be back for Easter holidays.
Beautiful, peaceful environment, very nice stay. All amenities are available. Units are a bit small, but are completely adequate with all necessities.

Very peaceful place with wonderful scenery and great hospitality, excellent location and close to everything.
The owner, Ted, is hospitable and friendly and offers loads of information about the facilities and the area on arrival which I found useful. The accommodation is a bit on the small side, but offers value for money. It is neat. There are braai facilities on the premises and the Bosbok footpath through the woods starts just outside the lodge.
We did enjoy the stay, could have been better. Might go back - undecided. Enjoyed the fishing on Saturday.
The place is lovely, just that if we travel with friends noise will always be there.
The owners are amazing people, loved staying at Bushbuck Lodge, the peace and tranquility is priceless.
Neat and safe. Close to beach and attractions. Accommodation met requirements. Families should note: Bathroom very small and wooden stairs steep leading to room. One room with 5 single beds. Parking can become a problem if all the housing units are fully booked, but everyone could measure and fit and at least park. Furthermore, the environment was beautiful and the host an extremely pleasant person.
The place is quiet, safe and clean. I suggest that you do stipulate that it is only ONE bedroom and very small. No living room or couches. Only bed and dining table. I would only recommend the units to people over 50. Not really suitable for families with rambunctious little ones - it's too small.
Everything was provided for us. I would like to recommend that the Bushbuck Lodge upgrade on the bed linen. It's the only thing that was not nice. Thank you.

We had a very nice stay. Neat, clean, beautiful surroundings with nice beaches nearby.
Good value for money. The site is well maintained and the surroundings are tree-rich and very beautiful.
Bushbuck Lodge was very nice. However, thought it was a bit small as was the pool. The beach however is very close and is beautiful and clean.
It's not ideal for small children, it's 2 km through the nature reserve to the beach and the stairs at the unit are steep! The facilities are all very neatly maintained, we had a great time with some of the other guests.
The fact that there is no air conditioning and DStv is a negative point.

The gardens and surrounding area are lovely. However, the units are extremely small for the number of people accommodated. There was not adequite cuboards for clothes and NO space for groceries and they have a shower only - difficult if you have small children.n Other than that, we had a fantastic time.
