We had a very nice stay. Unit was nice clean and tidy. Staff from the cleaners to the waiters/barman/chef were very friendly. Service and the food were excellent and place very nice and tidy. Received very good service. Will definitely recommend.
Unit was very neat. Only negative is the low toilets in the unit (no 25). Difficult for persons with hip problems. But otherwise perfect. Next had breakfast at the restaurant. It was delicious.

The one room I booked especially for me and my husband was the Private Junior "hotel room", R1600 for the evening. Our room did not look at all as advertised in the photos, there was only a shower and not a bath as in the photo, our room was much smaller than the photo shows it to be. There is not a braais stoep as they say, it was a small stoep with only a small table and 2 chairs. The pool is not private as they say, there was a pool shared with other rooms. The safe was not bolted at all, it stood loose in the cupboard. There weren't 2 Lazyboy chairs like in the photo and no living room at all like they say, it was just a couch that basically looks like in the Junior Suite's photos, and honestly I think if I go to the Junior Suite looking at the room's photos is where they pushed us in, but we paid more for a Private Junior Suite which we didn't get. When we arrived at reception no one told us that there was WiFi, the lady who only came on duty at 12 o'clock was also not very friendly and didn't seem much like she was in the mood to help everyone. Even though I was early, I arranged months before our check-in to be able to come a little earlier because we were all there for a wedding, and they said that they could help us at 12h30, but you could tell from the lady at reception that she was not happy that we were so early. Bushman's Rock Country Lodge also cannot serve a large group of people in their restaurant. We ordered breakfast, half of our group had finished eating while others were still waiting for their food. Some of our food was not right. The one breakfast I ordered with eggs, bacon, onions, mince and hash brown was incomplete, there was no hash brown and I'm still waiting for the mince that was supposed to come with the breakfast. If you order a second soft drink you wait 30 minutes+, and then they forget anyway after 30 min and you have to order again. I had to walk myself to collect tomato sauce and other sauces from the other tables for our group because they didn't even bring them.
Will visit again. Clean and tidy place to stay. Great restaurant.

The bedding sticks to everything, is very hot and uncomfortable to sleep with. More milk for coffee and tea would have been convenient.

We were happy with our visit to Bushmans Rock, but we had a few issues. Our toilet in Room 3 wouldn't work so you had to lift the toilet bowl to flush it and yet all the paper still wouldn't flush away. There was not a king-size bed, but a double bed. The parking lot is full when there are weddings and so the overnight guests do not have a parking space. The power was off and no one could tell us why, but they fixed it after we asked again. Other than this, the place was very nice, neat and clean and the restaurant had delicious food.

The lodge is easily accessible and really neat and clean. Staff are friendly and hospitable, especially Uncle Abel, the waiter. Restaurant is great, the cook knows his story. Try the snails starter - great. Accommodation is good. Rooms clean and tidy. Calm atmosphere. Will definitely stay again.
Very impressed with friendly service, secure parking, clean and tidy overnight facilities. Lodge area clean and very well maintained. Pools clean and braai areas are neat. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise with a nice atmosphere and a very nice menu - the pizza baked in a wood-burning oven was baking! Safe play area for children with lots to do for the kids. We will definitely prefer this place when we stay in Pretoria for night or weekend.
More coffee in the room would be appreciated. The shower rack is rusted.

The accommodation was comfortable, no water on Saturday night. Swimming pool braai is taken over by groups of people, no grill available for other braai. The Spa was absolutely superb!

We were at your restaurant with every meal and what a friendly experience with all your waiters we appreciated it so much. It was a fantastic weekend, I would like to come at least once a year to relax.
We enjoyed a quiet time as we planned to do. Using the spa was lovely. Staff at Bushman's Rock were friendly. And the pizzas at the restaurant were definitely value for money and the best ever! Would recommend Bushman's Rock to anyone for such a nice get away weekend just to rest. Would love to visit in the summer so we can use the beautiful pools.
Nice and tidy rooms and lodge.
We only stayed one night on a Thursday, so can't really evaluate the place. The location is ideal for a quick getaway, the lodge is impressive, the service was very good and we enjoyed our overnight stay.
Small apartment with no braai facilities. Nothing for teenagers to do. Almost no kitchenware. It feels like they want to force you to eat at their restaurant or you have to carry all your stuff, like a day visitor, to the swimming pool to barbecue there. The owner was unfriendly. Only the gate guard and waiters were friendly. I am so terribly disappointed and will never go there again.
Very nice, quite and beautiful, but the blankets seem old and dirty.
Very pleasant place. Nice, clean and tidy, nice and quiet too. Single rooms and beds are quite small, but perfectly fine for what I wanted. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again myself.

Bedding as well as towels were old and faded. Cushions on chairs outside at the pool were tatty and doesn't create a good impression. Service in restaurant is very slow. Took more than 20 minutes to just order a coffee.
It's close to Jhb, very peaceful. Lovely food and spa. Really enjoyed it. Lovely rooms and places to relax on the veranda. Will definitely visit again. Very friendly people!
