Just felt at home. I just have a suggestion that the roof fans can be replaced with bigger roof fans which can have an impact on the coolness inside the chalets. The current small fans make no difference.

We had a very good experience staying at Buyskop Lodge. The kids loved it, especially the outdoor experience and the swimming pool. Also, being able to watch wildlife animals from the comfort of our rooms was more than a bargain. We loved it and would come back again.

Beautiful stay surrounded by nature. The giraffes and zebras come up onto the grass, which is a very wild experience. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and you wouldn't want to miss it. Greeted by a friendly Lukas who showed us the chalet. Nice quiet environment, ideal to escape the city's hustle and bustle. We were lucky to be able to see the newcomer (Giraffe) and his mum. Nice private braai area at your chalet. There is also a swimming pool for the hot summer months. Thank you very much for the delicious breakfast. Was surprised with the detail of the breakfast - even a toothpick, dropped off at our front door. Will recommend your place for sure.

Our stay was very nice. Highlight of the weekend was waking up with thr animals on your doorstep. The cleaning ladies and security really friendly people. I would suggest alternative arrangements with regards to the gate as we had to make use of outside transport to get to town etc. and we had to contact Jan to open the gate which was a little annoying.
Our stay was peaceful, a very serene area for bush lovers. I read a few reviews before my stay and I think it gave me the wrong perspective. Breakfast was wonderful, with very generous portions and variety. Mr Jan is misunderstood; he was helpful and very hands-on. The property does need some cosmetic attention; however, the stay was beautiful. Especially the lawn and chalet surroundings (a paved perimeter and a carport). That huge hole also needs some love. The bathroom is a little dated. The lounge door definitely needs curtains or tinting.

The location was fantastic. Waking up to see zebras and giraffes on your doorstep was really nice. The pool was clean. However, the rooms and the inside of the place could do with some upgrades. The couches, beds, and pots really need updates, but overall, loved the place.

We had a real tranquil time, I wouldn't go back though or recommend to my friends. There's only one-way gravel road, and if there's an oncoming car in an awkward area where you can't even get to the side for another to pass, I don't know what happens. The gravel needs attention, especially from the main road. It makes the car rattle a lot.

The stay at Buyskop Lodge, Conference and Spa was perfectly adequate, although not earth-shattering. The wildlife that roams nearby, the beauty of the Bushveld and the variety of bird species are wonderful. The chalets were clean and have everything you need. The cleaners, reception and security staff are friendly and helpful. However, the lodge generally feels neglected. Some of the furniture was broken and fixed by myself. The pool and play areas appear unkempt and (shabby). The strict rules around noise are good, but you can still hear music and traffic.
Chalet was comfortable and clean, but there were no dish towels in the kitchen. There were also no towels or extra blankets. It wasn't until much later that I noticed in a WhatsApp message that they mention it - I think it could be made clearer in the discussion or in the ad. There was also no bath mat for the cold tiles, so I had to go to extra expense and buy one. The shower head was also clogged and I struggled with a thin stream of shower water. There were no bedside lamps, and the sofas in the sitting area were torn and very uncomfortable. There wasn't a bucket of ice in the freezer either. I saw few animals and did not get clear trail recommendations for walking in the field. Not everyone does the SPA thing. The switch where the kettle and grill were plugged in was very loose, and I awkwardly got the kettle to boil - at least it worked.
- The experience upon arrival was lovely. The pool area didn't seem maintained. WiFi was good. Hardly any personnel to assist.
We will definitely book into Buyskop Lodge, Conference and Spa again.

It is a peaceful atmosphere. One gets peace of mind. There is just no place for a firearm, e.g. safe, because I don't believe people travel without one anymore.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful from arrival to finish. The chalet was fully equipped and very neat and clean. The sea bream on our front porch was wonderful. We will definitely return again.
The only thing I can complain about was the beds. They were so hard and uncomfortable, but other than that our stay was wonderful.

There was only one big disappointment, my main reason that Buyskop caught my eye was the fact that on the website it says the animals come to drink at the water hole between the chalets. The waterhole is as dry as a plastic doll's ear. Also just mention that the chalets could do with air conditioning. In the summer as hot as hell with the little roof fans. Staff are friendly, as is Jan the owner. Had a great time. So quiet and peaceful. No loud music or people misbehaving. Love that rule of the lodge. Not for people looking for all kinds of things to do. But perfect if you're just looking for peace and quiet. Will definitely stay there again.

One complaint: There is not one comfortable chair in the unit. The couches are hard and low, the bar stools too high and hopelessly uncomfortable and the picnic benches on the porch are no older person's friend! If only there could be one or two armchairs.

It was very good and peaceful, except for the fact that we never saw any service providers throughout our stay, not even to take out the dustbins and refill the toilet paper.
The inability to play music even during the day in your car is a turn off.
We had a great stay at Buyskop Lodge, Conference and Spa. The sofa beds are uncomfortable to sleep on, but that's what you expect from a sofa bed. Furthermore, the whole unit was very tidy and decently cleaned every day. The security was very good and asked us to move our car and turn on the outside lights so they could see what was going on around us. The fact that you have to bring your own towels caught our guests a bit off guard, and I believe this can only be provided for the price you pay. To sum up, we had a nice stay and got what one expects for the price.

We didn't realize we needed to ask for a non-smoking unit. The smell was not pleasant to live with. You could smell that they tried to eliminate the smoke smell, but we know that there is nothing that can take a smoke smell out completely - the combination of what the efforts were made with and the smoke smell only makes it smell worse.

We were expecting a very busy resort as we booked at Buyskop over a long weekend. To our surprise it was very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend Buyskop if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We did have problems with ants and Buyskop might be able to take care of that. There is also no way to view wildlife other than driving in and out from the entrance.
Uncomfortable furniture, couch dysfunctional. Fridge not on when we arrived and no lockable bathroom door!? If warm and could spend every waking moment outdoors, great place but its chalet simply not up to spec.
First we had to clean the unit and get rid of all the fish moths. Previous guests' candy wrappers were still lying next to the cupboard.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen has everything and more. The roads around the reserve are not for small low cars, they would be best done in a 4x4. but the drive throughout the reserve was awesome seeing the beautiful animals that they have.
Arrived at the gate a bit early, phoned Jan, he opened the gate and advised me in which chalet I stay. Had a great drive to the chalet seeing a few giraffes and zebras. On arrival the chalet was clean and I could immediately feel my soul sinking into the quietness of nature. It was great, unfortunately, my wife and I only stayed one night, but it was amazing. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone that needs a break from the busy city life.

The sink in the kitchen was very smelly, as was the trash in the closet. So it had unpleasant smell in unit which was not nice. And it was put down.
The accommodation and location is perfect but the Term & Conditions of the lodge are overwhelming. As visitors we cant be expected to be mute even on a swimming pool. Some Terms and conditions are only made available to you after you have paid full amount. The security monitoring is annoying. Having no plan B for lights during load shedding its a no no. There were no checkup on the wellbeing of our stay, only security coming to decrease our volume as we speak on our own chalet.
We have never experienced the service we received from Jan. I can recommend the place to anyone. Thank you Jan for you and your team's incredible service!

Ons het by Buyskop Lodge gebly sodat ons die Bela Bela 5150 kon bywoon. Die huis was mooi skoon en netjies. Ons gasheer was baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Kommunikasie met die gasheer was ook puik en duidelik. Ons het ons tydjie daar baie geniet en sal dit aanbeveel vir ander mense wat naby die 5051 gebeurtenis wil bly.
A peaceful and relaxing stay at Buyskop Lodge. The unit was well equipped with all the necessary amenities. Would have liked to see more of the game life, but only got to see them on arrival and a few glimpses of giraffe while going out to town. But overall a lovely stay and will definitely make an effort to return.

It is a nice place to be especially when travelling with kids. It's so peaceful and safe, but chalets needs an air conditioner, curtains for the main door and wind draft guard to keep dirt and dust out of the house.
No carpets on the floor, there was a squirrel in our chalet, my kids were so scared we stayed up all night.

Buyskop lodge was amazing. Their self catering chalets are very equipped, and the stuff is very friendly and efficient. The host Jan was very accommodating and kept us informed through out the weekend. Covid19 regulations were followed the chalets were clean. The breakfast provided was delicious and more than enough. The unit is well equipped, clean and stylish. Was well received by Anna where she made us very welcomed. We made used of the spa facilities for a full body massage and enjoyed thoroughly. We will be back again.
It was our second time at the lodge. Enjoyed the walks. Would be nice though if guests could be monitored. There was lot of noise from surrounding chalets and people were drinking and shouting at the pool area. Enjoyed our time and enjoyed our refreshing massages at the spa. Thumbs up ladies. Our disappointment was the day we left. We felt chased out by the service ladies. They didn't even know we were checking out, but the moment we told them it's our last day they waited to clean by the door. My husband was upset and asked them if they will wait the whole 1 hour. It was only 9 am and check out is at 10. That was really rude on their part. Other than that, we will go back as a group of friends again.

One bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the other bedroom with 2 single beds, which can be converted into a king-size bed should guests prefer this. Other amenities include a comfortable lounge with 2 single sleeper couches and a flat-screen TV with DStv, Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, and braai facilities. Guests need to bring their own bath and swimming towels.
On offer are 16 comfortable, exclusively decorated and unique thatched roof chalets. Each 2-bedroom chalet can accommodate 6 guests and is equipped with a full kitchen, spacious lounge, private patio and private braai facilities. The chalets have private wheel-chair bathrooms with a shower, toilet and basin. The bathrooms have grab rails in the shower and around the toilet, enough doorway space and space around the chalets, as well as ramps leading to the chalets.
