This separate unit is on the same property as the owner's house but is completely private. On the ground floor, there is an open-plan living area with comfortable couches. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with everything guests will need for self-catering as well as a dining table and chairs.
On the first floor, there are 2 bedrooms, a separate toilet and 1 bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. The main bedroom comprises a queen-size bed and a sliding door which leads out onto a balcony with beautiful views over the Helderberg area and False Bay. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and also the same view over the mountains and the ocean. Bedding and bath towels are supplied, but guests need to supply their own beach towels.
The unit is not serviced while occupied.

It was delicious. Even a dishwasher! It's literally on the sea. At high tide the water comes up to the wall. Sunset is heavenly! Coffee and biscuits on the porch. "Breathtaking"!

The house's name should change to "On the sea". There could not be a better location for a vacation spot. The sea is at the front door. Well-equipped house that meets all one's needs. All that could add value would be a canopy to park under.

Everything one needs is found in the unit, one would say it goes without saying, but it is not. At Die See's equipment is of excellent quality and the tasteful and cleanliness is noticeable, all the extra little items made our stay very pleasant. The location is perfect and the view beautiful. We enjoyed it very much.
Gordon's Bay is a little known jewell and By Die See was a revelation showcasing South African hospitality at its best.

You won't get any closer to the sea than By Die See, and the view is blissful. The tastefully decorated unit is spacious enough for a family and equipped with everything that makes a vacation comfortable, and places to eat or ice cream are close enough to walk. Thank you Rika, we had a great time.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. I will make a point to rent there whenever I can. It was like a fantasy place on the coast. I hope I can book there again in December. I am literally waiting for the owner to let us know if December is possible again in our dates.

The sea is literally on your doorstep. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at kyk die see. The place is equipped with everything you would need in a home. Thank you to Rika who personally welcomed us to the premises. The Aunt who lives there was very friendly and immediately made us feel at home. We will definitely come again. We could relax by the sea. We'll be back soon.

Situated with views of the Helderberg Mountains with the beach on your doorstep in a secluded corner of Gordons Bay. Luxury accommodation. Numerous restaurants and small shops within walking distance, easy access to surrounding areas. We could not have asked more of the establishment, everything was laid out which made for such a relaxing and comfortable experience for all. Would highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

A lovely unit with a home away from home feel. We loved the mix of old and new beach front décor. Although the unit caters for 4, there is enough extra cutlery, glasses, mugs etc. so that family and friends can come over for a meal. Beautifully located right on the beach with private access. Safe and secure.
One cannot get closer to the sea. The apartment is very well equipped with everything needed for self-catering. The only difficult aspect was the stairs which can be quite a challenge for elderly people. But Rika and Francois, as well as their parents, are extremely friendly and respond quickly to any queries.

By die See is a gorgeous, fully equipped cottage. Rika and Francios have thought of everything and then some. It is the perfect getaway if you want to relax, with direct beach access and mountain views from all windows, it really is a little gem. The warm and friendly welcome from the family leading up to and on arrival made us feel at home and really just rounded off the stay for us. We certainly will be back, thank you.
